Kevin and I head to OB the day after Christmas for a huge morning where I met some of the guys you'll see in the video includ...

Mavericks - December 8th 2020
มุมมอง 16K4 ปีที่แล้ว
Tuesday December 8th was an epic day at Mavericks. The whole California coast was going off and some of the biggest names in big world surfing were out at Pillar Point that day. Super stoked I was there to capture it. I think my bug for surf photography and the culture around it has come back and come back hard. Just purchased a telephoto for my 5D so it's on! See you cats out at Ocean Beach on...

    Nice! Great footage. Those waves look huge compared to the guys in the water. Must be so cold though!

    Incredible footage! Can we get back to these glassy offshore bluebird days please? I haven't seen the sun in forever, and the forecast is for rain every day for the next 2 weeks.

    Brian, that's some beautifully shot footage of a great spot dude, dang I was there long before you were born... '94 if memory serves. I remember the bongo drummers and seals. Best,

      Thanks so much Jamie! 94 that's awesome! I was born in '91 and have been going to SC since I was a kid. Steamer Lane and Santa Cruz in general is a very special place.

    surfing is so boring now. everyone just does the same shit

    • @briandonaldphoto
      @briandonaldphoto 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Idk if I can agree with this one - What is all the same shit? For me watching surfing is not boring at all but especially pros like some of the guys in the water here - Nat Young, Kolohe Andino, and Griffen Colapinto. Those guys rip! I think surfing is more interesting than it has ever been and there's still so much more to come - There are still so many undiscovered waves out there.
