I went back to the same farm house...Found my very first 10K gold ring there with the 15" coil but was easier to find with the 6" one!

My Equinox 900

@ParkMetalDetecting I use the Equinox 700 and the X Terra Pro. Sometimes, the Legend. I go back in an area I've been to before or if I find a spot with one detector I'll take the other one to that spot to see if I can find targets the other detector or I have missed. It works out sometimes

Yeah, the guy I met there said he hit it before... but he missed a lot!

@ParkMetalDetecting It sounded like he had an older machine. I still have the White's Spectrum XLT. I still use it on occasion too. The XLT misses a lot of small silver, but its pinpointing is awesome. Now that Garrett bought White's, perhaps they can combine technologies to produce the ultimate machine.

If you watch the long form video you will see that we had hit this area with the 11" coil first and then again with a silver program. Hey, I invited you on my next hunt... And you can keep what you find! ; )

Kathy, the newer detectors have come a long way... Kind of like the big screen TV's! They keep getting better and cheaper... Thank goodness. Not sure what detector you have now but a good one that I started with is the Minelab XTerra Pro ($245 new) ... It's the reason I got the Equinox 900 as all the coils are interchangeable. I picked up the Equinox on eBay for $770 with two coils... It was only 4 months old and Minelab let me put the remaining warranty in my name even though the original owner never did it... Great company! If you have any questions you can always ask on any of my videos as I check and respond to all my awesome viewers comments like you 👍

I went back to that same spot yesterday and found my very first 10K ring! It was surrounded by trash, but the 6" coil nailed it. Was in front of those steps

BTW: my phone is down until I get my new Sim card Friday

I just went back to this same house today with a 15" coil that I just bought on Amazon and found an interesting target surrounded by junk. Switch back to the stock 11" and the separation was better. But switching to the 6" sniper coil was the hot ticket as I found my very first 10K gold kids signet ring down about 3-4" in front of the stairs of the house 😎 Future video :)

More to follow! I ran a test at my next site and found a 1920 wheatie 5" down but the dirt is like a rock... not fun 💪😅 We need some rain!

@@ParkMetalDetecting I just recently started detecting more parks since driving to the beach is a mission. SoCals traffic is no joke.

Takes me 90 minutes to get to Oceanside beach and an extra hour of fighting traffic on the way back

@ Yeah it’s brutal. That was the main reason I started detecting parks. Yesterday I hunted Bonelli Park for a couple hours. Found a few coins, a really crusty pocket knife and a lot of trash.

True! All the good finds were right there. I have detected with a few different friends over the year.... Half the battle is getting them to come out 😅 I'm waiting to get some rain to soften up the dirt before hitting that other permission!

I just ordered a new/used 15" Minelab 15" EQX for $125 on Amazon. Will be hitting that old farm house again soon!

Home today with the wife

I've been told that and I have slowed down my swing quite a bit. With the smaller coils you can swing a little faster than a stock coil. Hmm, maybe I would not of missed that buffalo nickel on the Equinox if I had swung slower but it was surrounded by a lot of iron... I give that win to the XTerra Pro with the six inch sniper coil ; ) What detector do you use Louis?

@@ParkMetalDetecting I have found way more once I have slowed my swing down and worked methodically from different angles across the same ground. I am closing out the year with 80 silver coins, 4 gold rings and over $700 in clad this year. It has been a good year.

I use a a few. I belong to detectors anonymous. It is an addiction. I have used and love the AT Pro, Xterra 700, E-Trac, and Manticore. Have found great stuff with. each of them.

There would still be heaps there to pull out I have said that before one mate got a crown 1938 they are like rocking horse shit if ya get a crown well 95%it would be a 1937.

Was running all metal mode. -4 and up notched in. I did not like the silver/nickel program as it blocked too many partial signals as there was a lot of trash in the ground.

The two Merc silver dimez are worth about $15 and $5. I'm going to try and etch tje buffalo nickel as I plan to keep it

Permissions!

I'm going to try to get one permission to an old property per month. Old curb sidewalks next to old properties are good too! I find lots of coins even when the grass has dried up and there is just dirt!

That coil for 179.00 is that usa price mate at gold coast said heaps in speedy cash for 80.00 bucks. Any how here ya hunts would be short lived lol in 38geg heat 🔥 that's your 💯F. ??.

@digginggopher Same here, Gopher. In the 60s, I had a BFO Mustang I bought new... lots of plastic, too. It barely found surface coins but was still fun!

I went back to the same farmhouse last week and found my very first gold ring! Used a 15" coil to licated it but for fun I install the stock coil then the 6" as there was a lot of trash around the target... was easier to pinpoint... vid was still in the low 40's it was 3 to 4" down. Was a baby's 10K signet ring! Vid on it alone was 18. I'll post vid soon

@@ParkMetalDetecting still going has ib technology so every coil ya get is made for a certain kHz 9 ins I think was 18.75 kHz good for prospecting 2009 came out I think 🤔 check it out old technology can be very handy plus still in production cost I think around 499.00 Australia price.
