Barbara Bain was a nice and pretty lady, but she always looked and acted like she had taken too many valium before shooting the episode.
Maya was 70s era 7 of 9 😊
Una meraviglia Non aggiungo altro
kids/teen show and all of the main characters are middle aged and older
Mya, was my crush! Grace and Style...Loved those, Shows..
This is proof that anyone can create anything and, no matter how awful it is, it will always have fans.
Said the elitist snob. 👎
Nah. Just sounds more muffled now.
The staple-gun lasers always cracked me up.
something that never occurred to me as a child; the moon was a dump for radioactive waste; got to wonder what excuse they had for packing "guns" up there before the moon went flying away.
I remember when 1999 was soooo far in the future! 20 years! Looking back now, that time was so long ago, so innocent... I'll bet when they wrote that date (Sept 13th, 1999) they had no idea what would happen IRL less than two years after that...
Barbara Bain walking thru those doors looks like she's getting ready to fight somebody!
Beautiful Woman, with a purpose, and with compassion.... Simple...👊☕
@@randallgornal9576 I had the biggest crush on her when I was a kid.
Looks like she's trying to find out who smeared Vaseline on the camera lens.
UNICA
Wouldn’t it be great if maya turned into a blockhead, like from Gumby?
❤
The Mya intro 🥰
MoonBase Alpha and Eagle 1 and 2!!!!! 🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀👊👍
Space: 1999, 2nd Season, was the Best!!!! Music, Science Fiction, And all in 1970's!!! Red Alert!!!🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀👊👍
Awesome 😊👍, Loved this Show, growing up.. Great Music 👊🚀🚀
S1 intro music was great but something about this gets me pumped. Didn't rally like s2 as much tho.
How'd you make the tubes?
They're 50mm perspex tube bought from ebay and cut to length. The end caps are 3d printed and attached with M2/M2.5 brass machine screws.
Dommage que ça ne dure pas plus longtemps
bizzare show...75 was strange
Barbara Bain still looks washed out in the intro sequence
I still love that serie... the best music drama characters script. FX effects
Seems like the music is just sped up. Which kinda ruin's it.
Profect.
How many of y'all had the Eagle spaceship when you were younger? If you did, raise your hand✋!
I used to have a model Eagle. I still have a Hawk model in my collection.
@@allenjones3130 , nice👌!
What title is this episode?
Probably "Breakaway", the first episode
Simons..
Is this from Muse’s first album?
Grazie.
当時『原子力サイコー!』な世の中で、取扱い間違えるととんでもない事になるよと警鐘を鳴らしていたよね…(´ω` )
My favorite song!! 👌👍🎶
Would be nice if Space 1999 were remade today using the tech we have now at our disposal. Makes me wonder......
Yeah but it would be a major disappointment-forgive the referral to your TH-cam handle, if it was remade. The Eagle ships and the base and everything else would involve CGI animation and it would totally bite. Look at Netflix's Lost in Space. Bleggghhh!!!
Maya, Mentor´s daughter, from the Psycon planet... the best character.
Hard to believe this was only 22 years ago , 😉...
The series was set in 1999 in the beginning and then moved all over time and space. However, the series came out in September 4, 1975.
It has this sense of wonder, and mystery, I think the 70"s was the decade of wonder and mystery, this is the decade of stupidity and ignorance, masses cheering yay were stupid.
No, this is the age of knowledge - but stupidity and ignorance is constantly promoted, PRECISELY because this is the age of knowledge. It's your decision to pay attention to distractions like social justice warrior activism, trans-gendered TODDLERS, and other nonsense that is ceaselessly promoted. It's now trivial to talk to anybody on the planet and talk to anybody. Want to know why the US is actually attacking Syria? You can just ask a Syrian - for example. If you ask that question of a Syrian, you'll get an uncomfortable response, because it has nothing to do with "Assad is gassing his own people". Plenty of people are outside the Overton Window. The world only seems stupider today if you remain inside of it.
@@fuzzywzhe That's funny the age of knowledge,!! lol you just prove point, but I thank you, you gave me a good laugh. actually this is the age of zombies, smart phones, social media, are turning people into zombies.
@@joeul7 It is indeed funny, but I'm laughing at a different joke. In the 1970's, Russia was cut off. Levis genes were contra band. It was impossible to talk to a Vietnamese person to see their viewpoint of why the US was in there, dispensing Agent Orange. We were ENTIRELY dependent on our "news" media to tell us what was going on. Today, it's trivial to find out and see what is going on in Moscow, or China, or Vietnam, or Iraq, or Libya, or Syria. It's easy to debunk propaganda, like the supposed Skripal poisoning or that ludicrous Bana al-Abed. I can see that the OPCW itself contradicted the claims our our "news" media about a chemical attack in Douma. Sure, there's still zombies, there have always been zombies. But now, if you're a zombie, it's entirely YOUR CHOICE. It's not imposed upon you. Social media and other garbage like that, it's just trying to become the new control mechanism. Up until 1990, you had to actually travel the world to know what is going on. You needed translators (that you could trust), and you needed money and lots of it. I'm actually thankful for social media - it's getting the idiots out of the places that we use to talk. People are so propagandized, and they shout and scream when you're trying to have a serious discussion about, say, why the US actually bombed Libya, or why the US is actually blowing up Syria, or that Ukraine had a US led coup and it wasn't a revolution. We don't want the zombies in our area. Facebook, Google, and Twitter - can have them. We want to keep the zombies out of our space, but if they don't wan to be zombies, and if they can be polite and thoughtful and not just screaming mindless propaganda zombies, they're join us. People have unlimited access to information - that's OFFERED to them, and if they don't want it, that's fine too. We offer them the ability, we're not going to force them.
@@fuzzywzhe I don't know sir I believe your looking at the world from a very strange mindset, political or other, but everybody has their opinion, but I wouldn't call this the age of knowledge at all, that would imply that most everyone is knowledgeable, and that is just not true. Something quick and easy, in the 60's 70's people seem to have a mind set of direction, you speak of Levis, okay, they were popular back then, and they were world wide used, they also had a style to wear their hair and it was world wide, nowadays people have neither, many wear their pants falling off their butts and feel is... well who knows what they feel lol, to me it looks stupid, most women wear yoga pants now, everywhere, even though they were design as underwear, lol is the now thing, or is it? they were design in the 50's but they think is a new fashion oh yes they do, most don't know they're from the 50's, hair same thing no direction no style, either shaved or no style and looks like a dead rat landed there, it seems like people don't know what to do, or where to go, Facebook was a good idea, but people use it for the wrong things, women to entice their egos, with their tight outfits and to get likes, and if your a friend and didn't hit like, they get upset lol could be use for world issues but not even close, twitter same thing, mostly people use to attack each other with insults, mostly lol People try to be more presentable, back in the 60's 70's, and seem to have a desire to learn, and fight for a cause, music was pure talent back then, now like the English say is rubbish lol, back then there seem to be a sense of trying to be better, look at videos of people walking on the streets, is totally different from now, any one with perception can see the difference, the quality is very noticeable to me, it amazes me you don't see it. But you touched on a very important point at the end of your comment, I copied and paste it. You said: People have unlimited access to information - that's OFFERED to them, and if they don't want it, that's fine too. We offer them the ability, we're not going to force them. You know it too, sir is in your comment, people don't care, they have it but don't use it, people back then didn't have it, so they looked for it, they strive to achieve it. is elementary my dear Watson haha is been fun sir, I greet you farewell.
Would like to see a movie made on this show. The moon ark.
Oh GOD no. Contemporary Hollywood would completely f**k it up.
A caring leader but at times seems a little sissy with the tears.
I can listen to both seasons intros for hours. Impressive.
If you ever get a chance, check out the Series 2 Japanese theme. It's slower and I love it. (Japan Series 1 theme, not so much. But Series 2 is a slower extended version, and I think it's really great.)
Living the tech life.
True... I winced now just listening to the first seconds...
