I say the cancelation of the Netflix reboot series is a blessing in disguise.

You should read the books. Stilgar goes through a challenge to his ideas a lot in book 2 and 3. Paul is probably my favourite character. I like Duncan too, but he acted like a real dweeb in God Emperor of Dune. Jessica was a lot cooler in the books.

Snacks and you might want to check out a classic japanese marionette show called: X-Bomber (Ekkusu Bonbā) aka Starfleet from 1980. But this Thunderbolts Fantasy looks weird... like marionettes, but they digitally removed the strings and tried to smooth out the motions with some AI filters... and for BBK you might want to look up Adam Savages' builds. He's done some bigger creature costumes. I had to force myself to put away some work i was doing to read #12 of TF - the end of the 2nd arc - and not a word was said about it.... sigh 😁

Just now found this stream in my many many open tab in my too many open browser windows... 45:00 ... and holy shit: You didn't know about Saber Rider and the Star Sheriffs aka Star Musketeer Bismarck!!! Other show around that time that also had RoboSteeds: The Adventures of the Galaxy Rangers and Bravestarr (ok, Thirty-Thirty was technically a species and I'm not sure if he was mechanical or organic or a mix of both) - thoses can be excused, since they don't have a giant Mech in them - If you came more often to my Guilded Morning Streams you could have watched all of them 😄

It's totally just a coincident that it all went downhill once Disney bought Power Ranger, which they destroyed within a decade. The brainfart of separating Power Rangers from Sentai is so moronic - Super Sentai is Power Rangers. They deviated quite a bit with some adaptation (PR in Space or RPM). I'm generally sick and tired or rebooting / reimagining 'classic' shows - it rarely works.

Still prefer the 1984 Dune film (that AND Jodorowsky's Dune). That being said, compared to the shit we're being force fed constantly, Denis Villneauve's Dune is like a refreshing breath of fresh air.
