Costa Rica is not cheap. The price range you gave is way off. It used to be cheap but that us no longer the case. The tons of expats flocking to it are drastically changing the country as well, and not for the better.

All countrires are only in East-Europe. Generally Esat-Europe is cheaper than West-Europe, but Portugal can compete with some of the mentioned countries.

Vietnam and Indonesia are safe. Philippines is a dangerous place
