I first flew from this airstrip as a passenger with my father as pilot in a Cessna 172 rego VH-ACF on 22/10/1966. He flew from there until 1969. Now I fly my aircraft from there and think of my father each time I land and take off.

I’m aiming to land on the grass left of the runway because it is smoother and softer to land on than the runway. I use the runway for takeoff and the grass for landing.

the speed did contribute but PIO occurred due to me not giving firm input on the control bar. I practiced this a few times and prevented it it by giving short sharp jabs on the the control bar
Was that because of the speed pulled on around 0.50 to 0.55?
