How our renewables future is built on modern slavery
The mineral Cobalt is in almost everything required for the future. Laptops, smartphones, and semiconductors all use this rock, which is mostly pulled out of mines in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Cobalt, along with Lithium is also set to revolutionise the way we live and power our world through solar panels and enormous battery storage, but as much as 30% of the cobalt mined in the DRC is done so by people working under conditions described as modern slavery.
So the question is, now that we know, what do we do about it?
In this episode, we explore what is being done to preserve our world against modern slavery a problem that traps 50 million people around the world. Providing expert insight is Associate Professor Martijn Boersma from the University of Sydney.

What will future wars look like and who will fight them?
มุมมอง 22721 วันที่ผ่านมา
The endgame of warfare may always be the same, but the battle space is not. AI, big data and drone technology bring entirely new capacities to the fight - in speed, precision, stealth and surveillance. As the wars in Ukraine and Gaza threaten to tip into broader regional conflagrations, long-standing alliances are under strain. The US election in November is an X-factor, a fork in the road wher...

AIPAC and wealthy Jewish elites. That's what binds us. Not Democracy. Israel is an Apartheid State. Not friendship. They bomb our sailors. Israel has done NOTHING for the US. Our interests are no longer the same. Israel is not in America's interest. $$$$$$
first
Danger is that the USA actually believes it is always correct and virtuous regarding the way it looks at the world PLUS the view it must engage in every conflict that arises. STUPID is as STUPID does.
When you have a hand picked candidate using lawfare to "save democracy" it's easy to be disenchanted. When it comes to your political opinions it's best to leave it to the experts.
Dr. Martin Kear is mistaken in saying the king of Jordan is Palestinian. He is Jordanian and was born in Amman, the capital of Jordan. His wife, Queen Rania, was born in Kuwait to Palestinian parents. Dr Kear also omitted to mention that support for Israel in the Democratic Party is far from universal. A significant portion of Democratic politicians, especially progressives, are more sympathetic to the Palestinians. The younger generation in particular are more supportive of Palestinians, and in the mid to long term could change the dynamic between the US and Israel. However, in the short term I agree with the professor's pessimism.
The far right are literally people who don’t want their country to become a Muslim nation.
ain't nobody give up on democracy but octogenarian fascists. We need a Logan's Run law in this country.
Many politicians are also real estate investors.
Keren!
They think they can rule the world by having control of the U.N.. SO BAD BECAUSE THE U.N. Might Not be around for long there is going to be a new world order more equality even for weaker States. The Axis of Evil the West is a terrorist state. And Genocidal look what they are doing to the Palestinians. And America feels sorry for Israel. And Israel has a good Strategic point. Back then not any more. FREEDOM FOR PALESTINE
Its nothing more than greed and AIPAC. Congress is owned by them. They pick Congresspeople.😊
Got today's dose of propaganda 😂

Why do these people say “far right” and yet not “far left “?!!
to make them sound sinister and somehow tie them with World War 2 and the Germans. its impossible to be a moderate with the left. you are either one of them or "Far right"
And replace it with what exactly? The highly successful communism
Neolibralism is not the same as liberalism or Progressivism. It's doubkespeak for conservative policies. We need to regulate corporations or capitalism fails. And yeah, communism could be the replacement if conservatives keep selling their souls to corporations.
Look up neilibralism it doesn't mean what you think it means.
Far-right, far-right... You have taken any and all meaning from those words by labeling every minor inconvenience and disagreement as "far-right". And no, it is not a scapegoat. It is an actual problem. People with incompatible backgrounds and cultures that can not and will not assimilate cause the decline in society and the way of life of the native people. Neighbourhoods die out. Everyone is a stranger. Trash. Crime. Violence. Sensless immigration must be stopped.
Except when you have record high Immigration and the majority of crimes bring commited are by Immigrants they are not Scapgoats, they are the Issue!
Modern leftwingers want to destroy nations and steal taxes. Evil people.
Sweet f#*k all 😂😂😂😂

I’m a Liberian writer currently researching this. Thank you so much! At the time of this negotiation, we had lost 250,000 Liberians to the civil war. If not for those women, nobody knows how much longer the war would have lasted. NB: Even international communities could not convince the warring factions to come to a cease fire or a negotiation. We are really thankful for the bravery of Leymah and the Liberian women who stood with her!🤍🇱🇷

France 🇫🇷 is a lost game
C'est sûr c'est mieux ailleurs !!! In UK !!! 😁😁😁
@@lotus105 the whole world is fucked because of the progressive left ideology.
France needs to be saved from the African invaders.
The problem is the liberals of the 90s (not progressives) are now seen as far right. The left is alienating so many people that the right is growing.
I'd rather ask if it's too late to save France from the globalists.
Are Bangladeshis and Rohingyas entering India not outsiders..???? Useless podcast
Shame on this channel.. spreading misinformation
Macron is married to an old man... :D
Radical Right - Anyone who disagrees with Marxists
Funding is so needed to provide areas that young people can access to have treatment early so they can move forward and live a productive life. Every Australian has the right to participate in all areas of living and being a part of a community that contributes. Thus making them feel better about who they are and what they can achieve. This is necessary for goverment funding to be available to help this team in their great work for our young people. Shame on any govt that ignores this need.
Maybe that should read “ is it too late to save France from the far Left” 🤨🤨
Correction : the far right is saving France
You have to save france from the Liberals !!
Vote for Macron. 👍👍👍👍🎈🎈🎈
The issue is saving Europe from the morons that have been breaking it appart
The real question is it too late to save France from the damage the far left has done.
SAVE France from the far left? LOL....... how about let the common sense Conservatives flourish and France flourish
Commie/far left have ruined France and all of Europe. The far left are the minions of Globalism and totalitarian rule that seeks a One World Government.
The "far right" which means back to normal is the savior
Maybe that should read “ is it too late to save France from the far Left”!
No UN
