Welcome to my channel!!!
I am an outdoorsman who loves coffee and the being anywhere outside, wilderness survival and emergency preparedness.
Just trying to share my love of coffee and ways I make it while on the trail, and sometimes some light cooking(no crazy gourmet meals) although I may try.
So please pull up some ground and share some coffee with me.
I hope you enjoy!
And if you have any questions for me, please by all means shoot me a message!
And as always, Slainte Mhaith!
Thanks for stopping by.

In another video I did make an upgrade to the lid, which works great
It is a beautiful chilly morning. But nothing tastes better than hot coffee on a chilly morning. Love you too sister!
Looks like a beautiful morning! So THANKFUL you are able to enjoy such a beautiful place. That whole RMSF ordeal was so scary. Love you Brother.💞
Is it flameless? Why didn’t you clear any of the super flammable Pineneedles away? 😅
No, it’s not flame less, there’s an alcohol burner inside the wind screen. With the filter I used, you can’t see how damp the ground actually is. And it also started raining as soon as I stopped filming. Was no danger of wildfires.
Cheers for the mention Rick 🙂! Looks like you could do some serious cooking on that stove 😉
Most definitely! My brother in law likes to buy some of the gear I use. He says I’m his Guinea pig, to test out the stuff he sends me. 😊
Just a quick video of me hanging out. My daughter was behind me sleeping in her hammock. It was a beautiful morning to be in the woods.
Is thata diy tree table?shure would like a video on that.....
Thanks for the comment! It is indeed! I’m working on that.😊 time has been in very short supply lately. But I do plan on making a how to video for it. It’s based off of an aluminum one I saw years ago.
Nice one thanks
You’re welcome bud!
Could you elaborate on the "trash panda" please...???
That would be a Racoon 😊
@@Woodbeard-RH LOL!!!🙃
Rick, did you make that tree table?
I did. I also made a smaller one that you can see in some of my other videos. This one is a bit wider which is good for cook kits that have a lot of parts.
@@Woodbeard-RH Would make for a good video. I'd like to try one. If you make them for sale, see if Mark Young will review it and if The Canadian Outdoor Equipment Co. will carry it.
@@canadafree2087 never thought about that. But it would make for a good video.
It is sweet that the drip coffee filter works with the Swedish cup. I don't have the drip but our local store carries it, I do have the Swedish cup.
Nice! I didn’t think it would work at first, but it fit great. I recommend the drip. It’s my go to filter when I’m out in the woods. Let me know how it works for you if you pick one up
Been trying to get back here the last couple weekends. My kiddo came with me this time!
Still sore on the walk back down. I did bring one of my small stools, but because I still cant fully bend my right knee back, it makes it difficult getting down and back up from small seats. I’ll get there soon. Have fun out there and be safe.
Sorry everyone, for not posting in a while. I had knee surgery at the end of July. Getting around is difficult, but getting better
Love the videos so far maybe try some cooking in the woods videos?
Thanks for the comment!!! Will definitely do that. This trip, my tripod decided to break, and I haven’t been able to replace it yet.
Was very relaxing to be out there with my daughter
So sorry about the vehicles going by below me.
One day, I’ll do a cook kit/set video with a few different sets I have. Let me know if that would be something you would like to see.
Not sure if that cover is for the original BCB crusader cook kit. This one doesn’t seem to fit right. Could be wrong, just seems like it needs to be balanced on the cook pot instead of actually sitting securely. But it works.
So, I’ve had that French press for a while. Never really used it. Took it with me this time and the amount of silt left in my cup afterward, I could have made a mudhut with it. Coffee was good, but the silt that didn’t get filtered was crazy. Thanks for watching
So, this was the first real test run with this cookset. Worked perfectly
So apparently there was an owl sitting way up. The crows and a couple red tail hawks didn’t appreciate him sitting there
So far that BCB Crusader MK2 Is my favorite cookset. Not a big fan of the lid though, but it works. Thanks for watching
I think the trangia burner was clogged. Took forever before my water got hot enough to make coffee.
