I saw these guys at a small Ethiopian club in Portland Oregon must be 30 years ago, and watching this it seems like only last week. Hung out with them after the gig having some Honey wine and dinner, they were a good-hearted guys.

When I saw the video on ZBC, I thought it was a band from America or Britain. Little did I know, they were Zimbabwean nationals.

My father recently turned 68 and nostalgia had me looking for his songs back then to make a playlist for his party. This was and is still a jaaam! What a time it was to be alive❤❤

This video is wrong in the first 25 seconds. Not a very good start. It is stated by the narrator that of all the Allies only Britain had been fighting since the very beginning. I'm guessing that nobody told the Canadians that.
Yeah .. absolutely agree .. Didn't tell the Kiwi's that either .
Chinese fought against the Japanese since July 1937..offcially
@@paddy.7784 Yes, the Canadians and Kiwis! And all the rest of Commonwealth declared war on 3 Sept. The entire British Empire got swept up in it.
I am soooo sick of hearing how the Brits "stood alone". What a slap in the face to those in the Commonwealth. Canada gave Britain 2 billion dollars over the 6 years of war. Canada fed the British via grain etc. during the first years and lost 70% of their merchant seamen during the hottest months in the Battle of the Atlantic. I'm surprised and disappointed that James Holland is contributing to this ignorance.
@@carmensicotte9431 The same historian calls the forces involved DUKE, (Dominion, UK, Empire), citing ‘about time the dominion forces got their due’. This video is from 2004, in the early stages of his historical publishing and broadcast career, call it learning more and improving, even compare it to a series on a similar subject,on YT, a decade later.
2022 and it's on phone playlist. Rest In Power bhundu boys
