Just wondering if you tried the one piece Bertucci leather strap and your thoughts on it?

Saw this for the first time the other day and was blown away. The dial and bracelet looked fantastic.

Mine is on the way !. I already own many watches, among which the Eco-Drive Blue Angels from Citizen, but like you I appreciate basic sturdy watches like this one.

The 217 has the best display of all of them. From any angle. I have those same watches. As much as I want to like the 5600 I can’t get past the small dim display and the ridiculously hard to push adjust button. The 5610 is awesome but it’s also twice the cost. Thanks!

I’m in the midst of a few issues with Orient. When I got this watch (same as video) it maintained time well when not wearing but as soon as I put it on and wore it for a few hours it would gain time quickly. We’re talking I’d set it to my iPhone clock and after 2 hours it would gain around 20-25 seconds. Sent it back and waited forever for it to get returned. Got it back and all seemed well but I would wear it and seemed like I’d always have to wind it more often. After deciding to try and get this one a little more accurate (was gaining about 15 seconds a day) I opened it up to find there is no more auto winding mechanism. So either they swapped out the movement for a non-auto winding one or they removed it…not sure. Anyhow, in talks with Orient once again to see what the deal is as the auto wind feature was part of the reason I bought this watch.

Beautiful watch on the bracelet. On my buy list once I see a good price.

The SNE533 comes with a blue strap like your green example. Maybe there is a gen seiko part number for it. Or buy the SNE533 just for the strap if you're desperate. 😊

The blue dial should have hands that are outlined in WHITE, not black. Hamilton goofed.

I recently bought one online from Kohl’s…..used a 30% coupon and got it for around $175. BUT, after 1 week of wearing it, it ran 30 seconds slow per day!! That’s totally unacceptable to me. I returned it and got my money back. Kinda sad because I loved the style, but 30 seconds in a 24 hour period is utterly horrible.

Hey Guys, does anyone know if there are spare links for the Seiko SUR307? The band is too tight and are uncomfortable for me. If half links aren’t an option, any watchbands that would fit and suit the style that you can recommend? Thank you!

I have the blue dial & blue leather strap Jazzmaster and it's stunning! It's a dress watch that looks modern and doesn't have the grandpa vibe as many other dress watches.

Wow! Your video perfectly describes my experience with trying figure out the differences between the NJ0151-88M and NJ0151-53M versions. I mean, I’ve had it in my cart for the past couple days at Jomashop ($209) and have spent way too much time trying to learn the difference after realizing there was one. I even considered going to Macy’s! The funny thing funny thing is i’ve lived in Austin for 22 years and my wrist… you guessed it… 7.25” !!Please tell me you found out what the difference was shortly after making this video. Thanks!

Seiko will always leave something important in a watch.. they got my dream watch.. but this time in a big bezel! Where is the 37mm.. I searched a 37mm quartz from seiko but had hardlex. These people never get it right. Bought none

You're right, who cares what it is...pilot, field, dress....the bottom line like you said it's just a fantastic watch! I have the date version and as simplistic as it is, I find myself just staring at it in awe, so easy to read, easy to wear, strap monster....it has it all. Great review!

I own this on, one of five Islanders in my collection. I thought of giving it away as a present- many times. The small hour hand bugged me.. Yet it is still with me, for more than 3 years. it’s a strap monster for real and I played a lot with straps and bands on it. It has a very simple look, clean design, I think it’s a beautiful piece, great proportions a sizes, excellent finishing, Islander built quality- I don’t think I will be successful in departing from it😉.

Love the muted grey of the titanium. I felt the stainless steel version was just too shiny for me. The titanium is more understated and the blue dial against the grey titanium really pops in the sunlight

yours is the J1...Made in Japan variant, which the premier model. Toss the bracelet, and go either Seiko OEM, Silicone, or the others quality after mrkt bands.Would avoid the steel bracelets as the tolerances mostly are incompatible.

Do you have link for the green ebay straps... I love the OEM but hate the metal keeper. Uncle straps want $12 to ship the tiny part to the UK so looking for other options
