South Korea in the Geopolitics of Three Theatres | Special Interview | FES Asia
Geopolitical tensions in East Asia are rising, e.g. on the Korean Peninsula, in the East and South China Seas, and in the Taiwan Strait. What are the motivations and interests of the main players in the region? Will the situation on the Korean Peninsula escalate or de-escalate in the next 1-2 years?
With ongoing conflicts in Ukraine and the Middle East, how do these global crises affect South Korea's strategic position? How is South Korea navigating the geopolitics of the three theatres: East Asia, Europe, and the Middle East?
Marc Saxer, Director of FES Office for Regional Cooperation in Asia, interviews Professor Yoon Young-kwan, Chairman of the Asan Institute for Policy Studies and former South Korean Foreign Minister (2003-2004). He is also Professor Emeritus in the Department of Political Science and International Relations, Seoul National University.

Just City: What Makes A City Just? | Full Documentary
มุมมอง 253หลายเดือนก่อน
"A just city" is not just a city but also about the people who inhabit it. UN chief António Guterres said in 2019 that “cities are where the climate battle will be largely won or lost.” And without a people-centred city, we may make some technological progress but we will never win the war of achieving net-zero targets and mitigate the impact of global warming. As Bangkok and other Asian cities...

Amazing Initiative!
What an absurd interview. 1. As NSA, he was virulently anti India making several intemperate comments. Together with his boss, Imran Khan, he violated several provisions of previous Agreements with India. After that, he has the gall to blame India and the incompetence of the interviewer allows him to get away with that 2. CPEC makes economic sense for China , not Pakistan. For Pakistan, it makes strategic sense as it hopes China will come to its rescue when Pakistan is losing the war with India. That is why the details are not published but the power plants ( for which information has been published) costs 4 times the costs of similar projects in India but comes with a very high interest rate
Wonderful approach and initiative to raise awareness in Pakistani masses.
😂😂 Geo economics= Geo Begging and Geo Politics = Geo Terorism😂
😂😂So Geo Economic = Geo Begging😂
A beautiful thought expresses beautifully ....❤
♥️♥️
99% population islamic fundamentalist and this person talking about geoeconomics 🤣
CPEC is a Game Changer 😂😂😂
How? Go geo begging, Geo deceit, and lack of all scruples.
Army generals are all $ billionaires while big majority of population are paupers in Pakistan
Moed fails to understand that Pakistan is a federation and its federating units, specifically Sindh and Baluchistan are deprived of its rights.
Since 1947 , this churan is being served with Pakistani awam saying pakistan is geopolitically most important to all countries.😀😀
Translation: We want rent simply for existing. All this "geoeconomics" mumbo-jumbo is not about Pakistan building an economy with actual exports, but just a rent-seeking pitstop in a pipeline. Reality check: You are not Panama or Egypt (Suez) and there are other ways to get around. Especially when you refuse to stop taking pungay with your neighbors just because. Pakistan is irrelevant now, will become even more so. Perhaps below Sudan.
the same old rona dhona!! A day without shame is a day wasted😂😂
"A day without gang rape is a day wasted" -- Indian ground reality 😂😂😂 just like brahma did with his daughter sarasvati 😂😂😂
Nice...New way of begging with fancy English words!!😂
Comments by Indians r hilarious as usual!!😂😂
good to see him after a while
Well ! As man and woman are two wheels of a vehicle so we can say life could be make easy by cooperative behavior 👍
Thank you for sharing your viewpoint! 😊
Does Pakistan need geoeconomics ? 😂😂 Pakistan need good begging skill to beg from IMF China Saudi Arabia UAE World Bank 😂😂.
Pakistan has chosen to be with China, with many of its top thinkers and diplomats even formerly declaring it, yet wants to be recognized of being in the middle
Most of the times Pakistanis have a bad habit of thinking their imaginary and delusional analysis of world politics has reality in it. There is hardly an easy way out of the economic mess that Pakistanis find themselves in. The 2 main stumbling blocks are population and religion. Both need controls.
He really is kiving in fools paradise
Pak is just a heavy stone (liability) for BRI and not corner stone (asset). If fact nothing about Pakistan can be related to asset. It is truly a basket case.
Army has crippled every bureaucratic structure in Pakistan, none of the plans mentioned can be realised without stable, independent, self less bureaucratic and government structures. Can you name even a single department which doesnt have interference from army? Zero, now they have started hurting a single sector which was independent from them, its IT. So i dont see this happening unless army back downs or people of pakistan make them back down
Whatever economics, Pakistan Airforce will always humiliate Indian air force, from the begining, now and to end of time. Tea is always free for indian pilots in pakistan.
When he was doing hand gestures, I could only Imagine KATORA in his both Hands 😂😂😂😂😂
CPEC: China Pakistan equally Chutiyas .. 😂😂😂
There is only Direction for PAKISTAN and that is IMF Loans and AID ..
Ok then PAKISTAN PM Shebaz Sharif say "Beggars Cant be Choosers " " Meh Mang ne Nahi aya hu, lekin kya karu majburi hai " .😂😂😂
I just to put this GUY in front of Dr. jai Shankar . 😂😂
Abe Chutiye Moeed Yusuf, ur Country fuel prices are decided by IMF . WTF ur talking about geo economics and strategic autonomy of Pakistan ..seriously only these Pakistanis can talk such confidently on Pakistan.
Basically Nehuruvianism in 21st century in Pakistan
Man! This guy lives in such a fool’s paradise.
Moeed must have realised after this nonsensical video that he screwed up and punched above his own weight by taking Hon'ble PM Modi's name and the so called communal stance given his rogue and failed nation Pakistan was formed on the very principle of religious identity.
This clown Moeed is living in dreamland when he said that Pakistan was a geopolitical partner of the west. Partnership is always between two influential entities, not between masters and slaves.
No amount of geoeconomics or aid from other countries would help, until and unless Pak addresses its uncontrolled breeding habits, religious extremism, terrorism, poor literacy coupled with lack of women enpowerment. In addition to Army involvement and interference in each and every aspect of the society. It is 2024 Pak politicians still lack any vision or even focus on addressing any of above issues. Their only focus where to go around to beg for free handout. Pak a failed state would remain so. Status quo suits all the world with relative peace. Pak Zindabad. Inshaallah🤣🤣🤣
Change your name to Geo economics
Bheekh mangne se pehle khud ke 5 saal purane statements to padh lete😂😂
The problem in Pakistan are not the uneducated folks.... but these *madrassa-educated Jaahils like Mooed Yusuf..* Jahalat Virus is a much bigger threat than Corona Virus!
*Kashmir* is the opium of Pakistani people... *Dollar* is the opium of Pakistani elites... *IMF* is the opium of Pakistani state!
NaPak badzehniat:"Dukan pakodon ki....... baatein karodon ki" Napak nakam riasat uz bharpoor pudina - kalme pad pad ke, tokri bhar ghaas kha kha ke mulk bana tha - LEKIN afsosssssss
I guess this guy is still in 90s . First of all why the India will be interested in Tapi when India is more focused towards solar and nuclear energy because the coming future is solar powered energy. Secondly why would India give the key 🔑 of its energy security to enemy states Pakistan which whom we fought 4 wars. Third India don’t care about Pakistan now because the opportunity of ship for Pakistan has sailed now in terms of India . India is focusing 5 trillion in 2027 and 10 trillion in 2034 . So Pakistan is nothing for India now
Lot of big meaninglessness words. What should Pakistan do in practical terms? This vlog is short on specifics.
I had very positive view about this guy. His talks were quite sensible and positive to good extend. Once in power his true colours unfolded, he is hypocrite or in other words I would say a typical Pakistani.
Sr ap ny b TH-cam channel creat kar lya best of luck
Pakistan has long long way to go. In current scenarios amd mentality, it is non starter.
😂😂😂😂 none of your business
@@shahidanusrat6086 ofcourse it is not my business. It is the business of those TH-cam holding mic and crying a river looking from across the border.
That’s common analysis given by every analyst but i think neither of these projects would be materialised. West is soliciting shell gas from the US and also building terminals for its import. India has its projects with Russia underway where Pakistan is of no need. Corollary is that Pakistan has to devise new avenues for economic growth where debt restructuring is indispensable for independent foreign policy
Beggars can't be choosers..
Moeed the most delusional man in the world, selling delusions to the West.
