    Great video. Note that Google did not invent Google Analytics. They bought a tracking application called Urchin, made it free and rebranded it as Google Analytics.

    I report every add as spam,it's not my problem to click on adds to make others money.its like unwanted junk mail in the letter box,you bin it.because I have no choice on adds being showed that's why I class them as spam regardless of what is being advertised.

      Well you are getting ad supported services for free. If you don't want to see ads, don't use ad supported services... or pay them for the value. If you don't pay for the product, you are the product!

    This “first party data”, do you really expect businesses will consider it their property once the potential customer signs up or do you think it only ever belongs to the potential customer even if they do sign up? What would make the business think so? Logically people in businesses of the past, the salesmen did keep up with what their customer’s interests and likes to better their sales etc, and that knowledge is not the property of the customer OR anyone/anything. But still I can’t imagine and I admit that I don’t know all the current (2021) data tracking methods, but right now I don’t see in principle that the customer 1) paid into a business’s first party database using with their own (the customer) probabilistic data in order 2) to VIEW the business’s products. I say the customer paid because you said at 2:39 “showcasing your products for free”, and earlier your first point was that YOU the business owns the first party data. What has the customer bought / paid for really? Does browsing really require payment? Salesmen in the past didn’t always know the POTENTIAL customer’s information unless it was shared to them by another salesman, especially if that potential customer was just browsing. I suppose a business will naturally keep that potential customer browsing information, but if your first party database requires a browsing / potential customer to provide deterministic information (name address etc - albeit they could lie and it might be so that the business still uses a probabilistic model) then that is where I draw the line. If I choose to browse your products then I don’t owe payment in the form of my personal information in order to view your products. It’s not for free, but that’s NOT the browsing/potential customer’s bill..it’s PROBABLY yours the business.
