I love Delhi's JBM ecolite buses, cool handy features in them especially for senior citizens, and specially abled persons. This is category of people which needs most care while traveling in Pune. Plus buses are Made in India.
In Santiago, Chile, we tested for one year two electric buses from BYD and Yutong chinese companies and the results were very optimistic then since 2018 in the capital we have 225 electric buses from both companies, 11 more from King Long but only for prived companies, but one of them interurban service for 220km. And 120 Hyundai electric cars, 25 electric trucks for heavy-duty in the mineral sector from Komatsu 930e company after one year under test and 1 electric truck for leger duty for a retail company, CCU. Right now we have under test 2 double-deck buses from Wrighbus and New Flyer in Santiago streets and 3 more electric buses from BYD under test in Concepcion, Chillan, and Antofagasta. Chile a couple weeks ago put a new order for 200 electrics buses again, but this time only for the BYD company. LOL fossil fuels are on the way out. More and more solar, wind, tidal, geothermal and quite possibly Nuclear Fusion(FAR more efficient than that of fission) will become more available and cheaper in the future. With the exception of fusion obviously.
There is sileo bus from Germany (the only e-bus manufacturer of Germany), Mercedes still doesn't have e-bus model nor does New Flyer. There is Solaris from Poland, Marco Polo( carbody manufacturer) from Colombia.
chineese buses arent of good quality.... if you want a good quality bus then buy one from someone like Mercedes-Benz (Germany), Alexander Dennis (UK), Wrightbus (Ireland), New Flyer (USA/CANADA),Solaris(Bulgaria?), Marco Polo (Brazil?)
