A few things was new to me, thanks. Now i wish devs will up bots to be more impactful and bulwark will be making this move 😂
you should really update this video.. most of this healing methods is based on bugs/unintended game behavior
I’ve lost a gene seed like that,
Ty for telling me the broken shield means guard break attack
Thanks for the tips. I’m terrible at the game and learning VERY slowly.
Yo, I knew about some of these but I learned so much too. Thanks for this. Here's a cooment to help you how you helped me.
Props for doing the right thing and dressing up as a Salamander. This guy has good taste.
Into the fires of battle, unto the anvil of war!
Men would watch tutorials about managing your health in Space Marine 2 rather than manage their mental health by going to therapy.
Wow! So much useful information here. Thanks for putting the work in to make this.
Any time! Thanks for watching:) More useful videos to come!
that bulwark tip is crazy good, knew everything else but not that, awesome
@@ketaminewomble2562 Awesome! :) I got a lot more class specific tips which I'll throw into my upcoming class guides.
As a 40k fan, I WANT to love this game SO much… But so far, it’s just not that fun. Even on easy. And I BREEZE thru Bots in Helldivers 2
Helpful tips. worth a sub thanks Tuekeh.
Thanks for the sub! I appreciate it:)
That health bar tip is an absolute game changer thanks man
Glad I could help! :)
This one slipped me too. Although, I haven't been able to play since the last update, game won't open without crashing to desktop.
Good video mate 👍
Thanks 👍
How did you use the grenade launcher in operations without it zooming in like it does in campaign?
@@KhalainBear for me I can only switch to the grenade launcher after zooming in by clicking middle mouse/clicking analog stick. I just scroll mouse wheel to "zoom in" and it switches to the grenade launcher while aiming.
@@teukeh Same but mine zooms in when i do that your's just did the weapon tilt, very odd :/
@@KhalainBear hmm that is strange. Maybe different tiers behave differently? I'll play around with it when I get the chance.
@@KhalainBear Weird, mine behaves the same way teukeh's does. Maybe it's a bug?
Great video man
@@guilhermegodek892 thanks man I'm glad you liked it!
Oh good, useless infor that's gonna get patched
@@darkgravystains only regarding the overheal which got patched today. I'm already working on an update guide for health management post patch.
Tbh, health shouldn't drop so quickly after armor is gone. It just feels too squishy...
break the green crates! i didnt know you could even do this until the last campaign mission
I love the healing mechanic because you’re constantly on pressure. There’s only war.
its a bug with the melter that gives overpower heal back .. fixes with a patche nearly .. info comes from Q/A
@@IWDfrosti it's not exclusive to the melta, it's a bug with the overheal mechanic itself. And yes they will fix it next patch!
Lol so your saying the best way to heal is an unintended bug that they are gonna patch out soon.... great
@@Chiefnugnam at the time when I made this video this bug wasn't very well known and I didn't see anybody talk about it. But yes I'm aware the next patch will correct this oversight. I will be making an update video as soon as the patch hits:)
@@teukeh I'm sorry if that seemed directed to you, I am just tired of the new age of gaming where developers ruin games right after they come out. I feel like space marine is about to ask helldivers to hold thier beer.
@@Chiefnugnam oh no I didn't take it personally. I'm staying hopeful that they won't repeat the Helldivers 2 situation lol
Thank you, one of the first actually useful videos I watched in the last weeks, very helpful! The Emperor protects, Brother!
@@MrBooka42 I appreciate it :) More to come!
Too bad it’s reported as a glitch. Sadness 😢
Yeah lol, it was fun while it lasted!
They b fuxing this bug lol
When the eventually nerf the meltas, I hope they either let us regen health out of combat (even if slowly) or let us heal on finishers.
@@Lancersilva I'm working on some guides for each class. I'll be sure to provide other survival options for them outside of exploiting overheal with the melta!
Imagine how butthurt the skill issue guys are gonna be when they patch the over healing from melta? The game needs healing between encounters. Too many failed missions.
i dont get the difficulty setting at all higher difficulty > less healing supply but also less healing from those said supply....the only thing people sticking on high difficulty is 1 time deal for those Armory and they will rush to the finish line as fast as they can to stay alive...this game difficulty feel very artificial cuz no point to fight enemy when you can gain XP and armory as long as you run to the finished line and explore as humanly possible and that is where repetitive set in. every mission is the same objectives, you go in, bee line to said objective, kill enemies along the way and fighting enemies are not fun either....done, repeat. i amazed that space marines fail to entertain you in fighting compare to Darktide. the combat in darktide when Horde appear is like tear of joy because i get to fucking fight a god damn hordes meanwhile SM2? nah fam i dont want to fight the damn horde, i want to skip them. we are Astarte, we should have a fun fighting enemies compare to Rejects / Guardsmen but somehow guardsmen have more fun than Astartes
@@ZzVinniezZ you feel more miserable grunt as a maxed spacemarine in this game than a fresh lvl 1 pyjama zealot in darktide lmfao, it make no sense
Nice video
All they need to do is make the armor regen 10 seconds and heal 10 percent on major kill and 3 percent on minor kill
At the very least give health on executions, with more health given on higher tier enemies. Would let them increase the frequency of enemy waves or increase how many ambient enemies are in a run if players have more sustainability that way too. Dont necessarily need more enemies in the field at a given moment, but I would love for there to be less downtime where there's nothing to fight between enemy waves
@@voidyll5582 Yeah there needs to be a way to regain health without hoarding stims.
this is Space Marine 2 not Call of Duty: Modern Audience
@@123nicanor did I say health regen? No, I said armor. I don’t want health regen, I want to be rewarded for my efforts and gain a small amount of health killing higher level enemy. Halo dose this on hard difficulties, they should do the same thing.
Great video idea! You smashed those trials brother!
@@Kilnor appreciate it!
This helped a lot thank you!
Idk why, but I thought you could only regain health through melee attacks. Do grenades count towards overcharge?
As far as I know grenades don't work with contested health.
Many of the health issues are skill related. All classes have different ways of dealing with health. Im not sure why people are complaining about it. It makes the game more challenging by forcing the player to think about their build. Now imagine of you got health back by executions, the game would be much easier. I personally like the challenge. Just my opinion of course. Btw great information and you got a subscription from me.
Thank you Brother, I appreciate it :)
so you think everyone being forced into one type of meta build is skilled and good game design? I think the main gripe with the system is that it is different from the first game where you got health back from melee.
I would like mention something that I forgot to put into the video: During the time your stimms are filling up your HP bar, there's a brief moment when your health is actually "contested health". Which means you can use the overheal mechanic in that time frame. This is also true when you self revive with the relic you can find on the map!
Tbh, health management is the worst part of this game. The two best tips you gave in this video are likely glitches to be fixed.
@@UCLAKoolman Yeah you might be right. But for when that day comes I'll be ready with an update video and figure out other ways to make it easier to stay alive!
Sounds like a skill issue. It’s basically just the Vermintide health system but without the temporary health perks
@@Frenchindochina if people like you keep saying skill issue soon the game will be left to nothing but sweats, if that is what you want then sure keep going.
@@Archmagos_Faber if you can’t improve your ability in a game by playing it and learning systems then stick to the single player. But changing a decently fleshed out system because a couple people aren’t good at the game is a sure fire way to remove all challenge and desire for progression for everyone else. So shut up, learn the game, and fix that skill issue.
@@Frenchindochina okay sweaty
I wish you could get health on executions. Or at least make the health perks give way more hp back
I did some more testing, and the final level 25 perk from the Vanguard surprisingly heals a lot! It's way more than the stated 1%, it feels more like almost 10%. It could be a typo. But the team perk on Extrimis executions is quite underwhelming, as you saw in the video.
@@teukeh thanks for testing it! I’ve been mainly playing tactical, and I’d love a perk that makes scanned enemies replenish health
Yeaaaaa the fact this only works with 1 weapon realistically will make it get changed. Cuz the “meta” will take over, and you’ll be expected to run it
Health would be less of an issue if the parry system wasn't so moronic. You miss like 60 or 70% of parrys as you parry too early or too late, or don't parry at all as nothing happens when you hit L1. Makes no sense.
If you're having trouble parrying, try out melee weapons that have the "Fencing" keyword instead of block/balanced. It makes the window much more forgiving. Also one of Vanguard's early perks gives you a 50% bigger parry window. Give that a try! :) PS. Some blue attacks can't actually be parried which is odd. They just end in a block no matter what your timing is.
Skill issue
Git. Gud.
Good to see someone talking about this. It's a really interesting mechanic that favors risk and reward, I hope it's not a bug of some sort and it doesn't get patched out. I've noticed that quite a few weapons can do this, and Tactical has 3 options: The standard bolt rifle with underbarrel grenade launcher, the plasma incinerator and the melta rifle. Heavy has his own version of two of these and he can do it as well, and I imagine the plasma pistol can also do this to a degree.
Yeah for sure! Tactical also has that one perk that lets you recover even more Contested Health. Personally I've just been having a ton of fun with the Melta Rifle lol
Heavy with Heavy Bolter and blow through rounds can get heals to. Just a lot harder. I also hope this isn't unintended but hard to say.
It's weird that the only reliable way to keep your health up is most likely an unintended bug. Sucks for everyone who can't use melta or las fusil. When that gets patched, I have a feeling the player population is going to disappear lol
It is a little odd. But I have hope that the devs will make good changes! I'll be sure to make a follow up video on any major changes, I have other videos coming up too :)
Imagine being punished by doing mistakes instead of having infinite regain, so weird indeed
@@digiass2135 my point is that with the melta rifle you DO have infinite regen. So anyone using melta gets free health constantly, but every other class has to work for it
then perhaps make execution to regain small of amount of HP then, in SM1 we had that with the down side that you still take damage but you gain large ass chunk of HP, encouraging you to go for execution. in SM2 due to that bug, it encourage people using melta as a way to survive while others weapons does not....maybe they could do something about it. if they want us to go in and fight horde of enemy then give u a reasons to Rip n Tears. even DOOM make execution and using Chainsaw to regain health and ammo
Clear. Concise. Everyone loves Gunny Hartman.
Thank you :)
Holy shit, this is so helpful, I was practically pulling my hair out on tac 2
@@Oh-Deer-God glad I could help!
It's weird because on tact 1, the first mob never behaves at all similar to your video. I imagine it could be RNG, but i've tried like 40 times. Even if I parry his first attack, he still follows up with his 3. This trial should be based on using auspex, not how lucky you are with the mob. Good video though! You helped me out with Tact 2! E: I just got A+ after trying again in under 3 seconds..maybe they took pity on my terrible skills
Haha congrats on finally getting it! Btw, when the first mob does that triple attack, the 2nd attack can be perfect parried but not the first one. It's good to know for when you're playing for real as well :)
@@teukeh Ah ok, good to know. Thanks! That's the kind of the frustrating thing, no training dummy area to practice. Seriously though, I didn't earn it but ill take it. Maybe the best time in the game :D www.reddit.com/r/Spacemarine/comments/1feosvk/when_you_are_so_bad_at_trials_the_game_takes_pity/
Nice video!!! Do a video on combat melee
Thank you! This is actually my next video that I'm working on, so keep an eye out in the next couple of days :)
I only have 2 trials left. 1st one on tactical and 2nd on assault. I have been having an issue where I hold the triangle for the jump pack to go up or fly and it doesn’t activate
@@synergy793 try aiming your camera higher by looking up! I also had the same problem and thought it was bugged.
Great video!
@@marcocasari9468 thank you!
can i ask, what are your settings?
@@liamardodastinchy What settings would you like to know? Graphical settings?
@@teukeh gameplay settings, i don’t care much for graphics. your aim is very good for what i’m assuming is controller.
@@liamardodastinchy I'm just using a controller on PC yes. I have all my settings set to default. I use my movement to help fine-tune my aiming. I find it really helps! Also "re-aiming" will get you very close to the target with the aim assist.
@@teukeh Man I cant aim for shit with a controller and it looks like you are hitting head shots every time. I'm struggling to get to 60 seconds in the first tactician trial
@@PorterPickUpyeah the first one can be a little tight. It's most important to just get the first 2 Majoris quickly, and you can see I take my time between shots not going full auto. It helps with the recoil. Fine tuning with your aim with movement really helps too! I'm sure you'll get it :)
I will be making more guides and videos for Space Marine II, so stay tuned! :)
