Its an EP not an LP. EPs are short and sweet with 3 to 5 songs. LPs are 8 to 15 (20 if its a deluxe and 30 if a Super Deluxe) Now, What I personally want to see is the girls have creative control. Put them all on production and writing duties especially Lara and her sister Rhea who are both producers and DJs. This is their 1st release as a group so I aay give em time to grow

i think you’re very creative and ur really fun to listen to and u have some really interesting ideas, which is very good! however, i have to say i do disagree with multiple, and maybe even all the points you’ve made in regards to what illit should do. first, i think you’re overestimating how bad you think they’re actually doing. their more up to date vocals (post r-u next training and post peak hate train stress) have been quite enjoyable to watch. see their vocal feed for their cover of “when we disco” and their vocal feeds from their newer performances. second, i don’t think you’re up to date with what they’re currently doing and how they’re actively gaining a steadily growing stable core fanbase (especially in japan and south korea). in terms of personality they’re focusing on a sailormoon magical girl based series that combines their interest in horror, acting, and their friendship together, which i believe is helping garner them a stable following outside of just huge success. they’re also covering more songs by other groups in the meanwhile until they have more songs to their own discography. thirdly, i don’t think you get what kind of music they are trying to make and the music their listeners find interesting about them (like midnight fiction). i think the songs you recommended they take after would get them lost in an over saturated market of sounds and would be too far away from their calming yet up-beat music. i think them continuing to find intrigue in sounds outside of usual k-pop music, while staying strong in the k-pop market as a culture, is the better option. fourth, basing their comeback off of a hate train is a reeeeeallly risky thing to do. it would be successful sure! but at what cost? the better move would be to establish themselves further. not to use their platform as a response to a real world drama. it would make it seem like they’re relying on someone else too heavily for their career, and i don’t think it’s smart that they play into a fight they didn’t want to be a part of. i also think being too on the nose with the “be myself” thing is a bit corny. i think showing without telling would be more impactful. and lastly, i think you’re letting mhj get to you a bit too much with the newjeans comment. they at the most, tend to wear natural makeup looks the way nwjns also does, and do a lot of footwork like nwjns does in their choreography, but it truly ends there. if you consume their product from a true research based standpoint, and not from a distance, i really do think you could come up with some much better ideas that actually work for them. you’re very fun to listen to and i can’t wait to see more from you regardless!

This video seems to be based on so much opinions based on misformation. I clicked for a fun 'lets make a comeback for ILLIT' but was met with a 'they suck at everything and this wasn't the real them'.. this is erhm.. sorry. No hate, but this video is not it for me

Just good critiquing and not attacking :) "NJ copycat": I really hope you and many others realise that they are really different. - Look at the concepts and the aesthetic differences. - Illit is acc is dream core, coquette, dreamy aesthetic also. And My World also has an acubi aestethic NJ is Y2k - the vibes of the songs are very different. NJ does more chill RnB while ILLIT is more dreamy DnB - And (I know you didn't say this but others do) 1 or 2 moves that make lowlowlowkey look similar (and I mean the tinesttt bit similar) does not mean copying or plagiarism especially in dance (where the Jeans coreo is wayyy more of a better argument towards copying - doesn't mean it is cus we all get inspired) on the Vocals: They aren't amazing but I would say they are acc good WHEN singing in their vocal range like in Luck Girl Syndrome live or even the JYP live performance. But Minji and Wonhee are very stable and good vocalists in the group. Even at their live performances like a uni (forgot which one it was lol). - They most definitely will get better through vocal training (hopefully <3) but I do believe all of them have good grasp of the basic fundamentals of singing and now they should build further (e.g. into falsettos and other singing styles to broaden their potential) aight bye (and please no more mental gymnastics saying they are copying NJ)

I love your idea of the members of MINX being transported to different time periods as a result of their failure. However, I would love to present to you the idea that the company was behind it! (In the lore.) Handong and Gahyun (as trainee friends of the girls) overhear and see it happen, and experience a lot of guilt over the situation. Unfortunately, they go through communication issues, and their goal to retrieve the members ends due to them splitting up. Handong and Gahyun’s solo would be a duet, I want it to be a custom song, and actually be written FOR the lore, not a boring love song. They’ll talk about survivors guilt, and eventually how their eventual split led their goal to corrupt. At the end of the music video, they’ll eventually find each other again and hug it out. They will each get a solo b-side on the album. They will also retrieve the members in age order. The next music video will start with Gahyun and Handong, who are out of options, summoning a demon who they make a deal with, should they gain the ability to go back in time, they and the people they save carry the burden the demon bears, to be haunted for as long as they live. (Which explains their horror concept.) I would also apply the rest of the video to this lore cause I love all of it ❤❤

bon voyage is sooo good though - the others might not be as good but bon is top tier. plus there’s barely any rapping.

I actually didn’t mind Justice’s chorus at all, I just wish that it was more in korean? I’m really sick of K-Pop groups turning to almost fully English songs, like Ootd was literally a crime. A lot of the lines in this song would be better if written in Korean. (Ie: Fight for justice rise up) It’s obviously written fine, but it would be 10x more powerful in Korean. Idk why they keep trying to make Dreamcatcher pander to the West, we loved them when they were singing in Korean, and it will also help them get more Korean fans too. (Also, I listened to your review in full! I think Bon Voyage is a perfect song though!)

random disjointed thoughts, because i was writing this as the video went on lol: people need to understand that lower on the ranking doesn't mean you hate the songs, it just means you have preferences lmao. people are acting like you hate all the songs, when you literally say anything above maison are songs you consider to be pretty good and you had no notes for almost all of the top 10. that being said, seeing reason so low, omg. i love that song so much and what's kpop without a little bit of cringe? it's a fan song, so it being a bit cringe for people who don't really care about the group doesn't really matter to me? i think it's cute tbh. full moon and reason are tied for me as fan songs. "pink fantasy you've been through enough, let me not" girl i'm in your walls, why is that so true. the fact that fly high is both really uplifting and kinda depressing? one of their most underrated songs tbh. rose blue is literally a masterpiece, that violin in th bridge actually makes levitate. i guess my own ranking that nobody asked for, as someone who's been around since goodnight came out. i'm judging the songs alone, not the whole album, lowest to highest: vision, maison, ootd, justice (it really grew on me, it's way above the ones below it tbh), over the sky, piri, odd eye, fly high, full moon, boca, scream, reason, what, chase me, you and i, deja vu, rose blue, bon voyage (one of those songs that came out at the right time, so i have a soft spot for it) goodnight, because. from reason up it's kinda constantly changing. this is what i think currently, but it'll probably change in a week.

Wait I`m so confused about anniversary thing... Their anniversary is in January? Did they ever announce it as an anniversary album? Did they ever do anniversary albums except Apocalypce full one to celebrate 5 years? Weren`t it just digital single releases for anniversaries? Like what you guys are even talking about, did I miss something? For me personally it`s their second best album after the Bonvoyage one, and the Scream one shares second place with it :D

I personally enjoyed the album and loved Justice, but I have to agree that it didn't feel like an anniversary album. They didn't realease anything in 8 months, so I thought they were preparing something big, just to end up disappointed. + I enjoy the music, but not a fan of the new concept overall, and the Justice music video felt really cheap and rushed to me + the choreo?? I'm sorry but when they're on stage it looks like they learned it 5 minutes ago, it looks messy. It’s genuinely the first time that I’m THAT disappointed in a Dreamcatcher album

I agree that kpop fans do tend to get obsessive over their faves and tend to hype everything they put out and I would be the first to admit I genuinely could not care about some of dc's releases. However, your validity as a contenr creator that is constanrly bashing every 2nd release feels insincere to me. It feels very much like the moment a song drops you hop onto the laptop to mash together a bad video with hastily written script with no real constructive criticism for the sole purpose of ragebaiting a fandom because all publicity is good publicity in rage bait content. And when called out you whine about lack of critical thinking. TLDR: Id believe you were authentic in your criticism if a majority of your content wasnt just pointless bashing for the purpose of getting fans upset.

It's okay if it's your opinion, but if you're saying that Dreamcatcher is your Favorite K-Pop Group than you should listen to the songs again many times until you like these

i think that their vibe changed across the years, but we have to agree that their sound continues to be unique. like, it's still dreamcatcher. the vibe i see these last comebacks focus a lot more on the CONCEPT, for example: Bon Voyage being basically a song about farewell of a loved one, but looking inside the meaning/concept they're actually saying farewell to earth, who was destroyed. the same goes for vision, maison and even OOTD(that critizes superficial pop culture). and now for JUSTICE i feel that yet again it's a song that only makes sense looking into the whole concept, the hints and references to VillainS. i really like it, but of course it is a matter of taste. for the song in itself, and their recent songs in general, i LOVE the instrumental. really, those rock guitars are on point sis. they always be playing with rythym, which im also in for. the vocals are good and impressive, as expected. but it is true that the chorus repeats a lot without variation. it is supposed to be a strong and simple well executed chorus, like an anthem i guess. i understand that it may not appeal to everyone. i do like to see it live though, each member singing it gives a different vibe for me, because of their unique timbre(a.k.a unique sound). i wish we can see live performances of Justice with Siyeon though, her voice style adds a lot to the song. the message also appeals a lot for me. they always are singing about important matters and i feel proud about it. listening to Justice makes me want to make justice(not to be cliche, but thats true). i think it is so good that they made this song talking bout justice their title, it shows what their priorities as artists who speak up about things are. for me Justice is top 3 DC's songs that talk about these important stuff. top 2 is Sahara and top 1 is BOCA. and who knows, Justice may grow in me as did BOCA(which i didnt really love at first but now am crazy about😂) anyway, that's my opinion. feel free to disagree, just please keep in mind that you should do that with respect. respect everyone ❤❤

How sadly pathetic this video is….I was looking forward for educational in-depth review due to the unpopular and controversial take but sadly the author of this video is quite un-educated in music especially in rock genre history and overall quite uncultured to put it more kindly, the “disappointment” or “dissatisfaction” they feel is to a certain point I can empathise but they themselves don’t even know why exactly shows the lack of educational quality of the overall review it is disappointing I was actually looking forward to a really good argument that made me go “wait ok….I can see that” but alas it is just some random child complaining for the most shallow reasons nothing new added to the conversation, some of the statement were plain false like the producer part it’s quite a garbage review to be frankly honest or more so a disappointing argument piece nothing to be challenged nor anything to gain knowledge or make a good debate on the subject it is a brainrot take through and through. Yes, you’re free to make an opinion video and as a consumer of the subject video you make it was very disappointing and just plain and simple pathetic take on the review

They're last few songs: Maison, Vision, Justice have been too short 🥴. They need to flesh out the verses a bit more. Also, i just wish for a bit more diversification when it comes to line distribution in their TT, it's a bit repetitive and boring. The EDM effect in the chorus is interesting and gives this song a bit more power.
