In 2018 Cazz Lander, Megan Hoskin and Eleanor Carey became the first ever crew of three to row the Pacific Ocean and the youngest crew of three to row any of the world's oceans. No sails, no engine, just muscle.

In the summer of 2018 three novice rowers set off from California attempting to cross the Pacific Ocean and arrive in Hawaii powered only by their oars.
This film explores how these self-proclaimed “everyday women” were able to achieve this extraordinary feat, becoming multiple world record holders in the process.
The crew shares their story, the crests and falls of both the preparation and the treacherous journey itself before concluding by sharing with us the life-changing lessons they learned from their 62 days at sea, in their 25 foot rowing boat “Danielle”.

I’m surprised that the design didn’t include a small forced air hose that would prevent water intrusion into the cabin but still ventilate the sleeping quarters. It wouldn’t be too hard to build but it would require a few spare fans to replace what failed from salt intrusion. I have some that draw .02 amps and a small solar panel is more than enough to power them. I really admire these young ladies

I got to this from being prompted to read an article in Outsider about the ex- US marine Madsen, who passed away doing this trip solo in June of 2020. I'm impressed and motivated by your journey. The only thing I've done is a 400km charity bikeride for peace in Israel (that was a highly supported ride. Cushy). I'm very very impressed by your journey. I'm quite terrified of the ocean myself, but last year, I did have a chance to visit Oahu for almost a month. I found the ocean terrifying, of course, but the ocean was basically closed because it was the middle of Winter. Anyway, I'm impressed and inspired to train for something.... Amazing job ladies, just amazing!

Hi! I am the skipper of Valkyrie, the boat that met them with various family members on the Hawaii side. I have to say that greeting these marvelous, accomplished women was THE highlight of my summer and remains one of the most moving memories ever. I regularly support the race by greeting on the HI side, but I was SO STOKED to get to guide THIS particular team in! You girls are awesome, and the daily Daisy and I send our love and best with all three of you always! xoxo
