Nothing sweeter sounding than a kz 1000 LTD with a Kerker header and no baffle in it, that throaty sound is unmistakable! Damn I miss my 79 LTD 1000 all those years ago bought brand new in 79 in Indiana.

BTW, I own several Kawasaki Z-1's, KZ900 LTD, and KZ1000 LTD's!!! All the bikes I have, has KERKER exhaust on them, makes those motorcycles sound mean as all hell!!! Kawasaki Nate Philadelphia,Pennsylvania

I had a 78 exactly like that all stock. One of the best looking bikes ever made. Sold it to a guy that put a white Vetter fairing on it. Sure spoiled the looks. Must have been something in the water in our town because another fellow I knew put a half fairing on a 1974 H2 750 triple and it wasn't a cafe style(Rickman) either. I still have the 1978 Kawasaki brochure with all the models for sale. The LTD shown didn't have the drilled discs that yours and mine did. Great bike hang on to it, wish I had.

Still today, Nothing sounds as good as an old kawi, with a kerker with no baffle 👍 music to my ears.

Absolutely gorgeous bike, did you do the restoration?, I had a 1978 Red LTD similar to yours, sold it for $1000 in 1983, I wish I could find it and get it back
