Before heading back through north QLD where we face countless water crossings and even more wide loads as we move the farm gear back home! And what's an end of year video without some Christmas light displays! Thankyou so much for all your suppo...

Is this the end of our Harvest Season? Big storms roll in and cause a fire in a paddock and all the rain turns the black soil into a skid pan! We have a near miss when we almost loss the drone in a chaser bin. And our travels take us down to a town in NSW called Wee Waa! Thanks Heaps for watching, Cam and Brii :)

Great Camps Close To Brisbane - Gordon Country - Yarramalong Recreation Centre

Another week another short trip to some cool spots within 3 hours of Brisbane. Our first stop was at Yarramalong which was a nice camp but didn't quite for fill what we were looking for. We then moved out to Gordon country, and after living so close for so long I'm surprised we haven't been here before. It was great, such a stunning spot, countless locations to camp with a nice stream flowing p...

So you Followed the Harvest from Queensland South
@@PeterEllis-xv5ct yeah mate, started in Nindigully went to around Dubbo. Could have easily worked all the way into Victoria even SA
@TheHedgesAdventures Cheers
I'd rather listen to the sound of the machinery instead of the crappy country music
Thanks for your comment, Well we all have our preferences, but I’m sure the tractors are grateful for the competition 👍
Good info - I just did the same thing, really enjoyed it. I drove a truck most of the time.
Thanks mate, really appreciate it.we loved it to and would recommend it to anyone. I (Cam) drove a truck most the time as well.
Don't forget about seeding
No longer after 3 million caravans with no maintenance its done once it went on wikicamps it was the beginning of the end
Yeah you’re right there are a lot that go there and Yes caravans might cause more track wear but in my opinion caravaners are self sufficient including toilets its others leaving there toilet paper and rubbish around that’s going to get places like this shut. I believe it’s privately owned land and they have opted to be on wiki camps. It would also be up to them to maintain the tracks in and out. But as long as people clean up and respect it which 95% of people do it should stay open Thanks
Thx very much guys. Great info. Appreciate it 👍🏻
Cheers mate we appreciate it 👍
Awesome experience and well worth doing while you are both young.
Thanks, it was a great experience 👍
thanks for taking us with ya.. Happy New Year. have a safe and happy one.. cheers. btw Great musick
Thanks for watching, we wish you a safe and happy new year too 👍
Does uncle cam have a license to drive everything!!
He’s working on it 😂
So good😊
Cheers 👌
Am proud of you, xx
Thanks Nan 👍
What beach were you on?
This was at Teewah beach, double island point 👌
Who did the conversion
Maracoonda didn’t conversion on this one 👍
Can't wait to live here 😍😍
im resurching to buy 2500 or 3500 and if i can get away with nb1 licence, i will. Im going to fit same fit out as you in rear. only concern would be are the roller covers dust proof for the tub. otherwise id be looing at a tub canopy if there is one that works with the rambox. do you know what your wieght is , as is with tank of furel in?
@@1890cooper hey mate, we are just on that nb1 licence with the van on, I think we are about 3.8/9 with 2 passengers and a full tank. I have seen a canopy that works with the ram box but I can’t remember the brand unfortunately.
How are you?~ yo~that is epic ~have a nice day~ ;))
Silo shots 👌
Thanks
name change. Or ive just noticed it 😅
@@WHYTEHOUSE100 yep, changed it today, more us 👍
Impressive looking setup. I'm in the trucking game and when describing their performance we usually say it pulls like a schoolboy 😂 What sort of mileage are you getting loaded and unloaded?
Thanks We get as low as 11 litres per 100 km unloaded and towing the caravan we are around that 18-20L per 100
Thanks for sharing. I really like these American utes and thinking of selling the 200 and moving to one. My biggest reservation is that besides towing, I also do a lot of tight racks to get to spots. mostly for fishing but also just exploring for fun, and I worry that these are just too wide.
No worries at all, we personally haven’t struggled with the width of it yet, I’m sure we will one day. It is no wider than the caravan. I don’t personally have it but bushwraps do protective film for the body.
@@TheHedgesAdventures Yeah I have been looking at PPF protection and its def an option. I'd rather something stronger like RhinoHides but they don't do anything for the American utes yet.
@@TheHedgesAdventuresgreat response, a lot of Toyota guys (I owned a 200 before) say to me that the American trucks are too wide, I ask them if they’re towing their van through these tracks and when they say yes, I point out that my Silverado isn’t as wide as my van.
@@TheTripleDubya yeah 100% I get there are some limitations, but I daily drive mine with no worries at all, Woolies and everything
@@TheHedgesAdventures same here and the Chevs are a bit longer than the Rams. We run ours on truck license and she who must be obeyed handles it all very well.
Thank you, I did find your video interesting, not sure why you don't have more views and comments
Hi, thanks for that 👍 We appreciate the comment
Hi guys - loving your content. We are in NZ and in the process of buying a Titanium through the NZ agents - hopefully we can get our sh1t together and take delivery September. Glad I found your TH-cam as we have a Ram too so it's interesting to see where you get to in it with the van. Have you done anything to the Ram or is it stock? (Lift or air bags, etc?)
Hey, thanks heaps. We have been a bit quiet on here of late unfortunately we had a few curve balls come our way. We plan to be back on the road soon Oh that’s cool, you will love the van. We can’t fault ours What type or ram 1500 or 2500? Ours has lift and airbags, bigger tyres and a few other goodies
Nice - ours is a 1500 Warlock 2021. Has a 1" lift from factory and just std 20" wheels. We're not looking at offroad "Aussie style" but just nice to be able to get a little bit off the main roads and feel confident. Might be airbags on the horizon - sounds like that's a necessary on Rams Look forward to our caravan. Jealous of the places you can head to in Aus compared to NZ but we'll enjoy it for sure
We're thrilled to have been a part of your adventure! 🦇🌿⛰
Loved your video. What an awesome part of Qld. Your channel only popped into my TH-cam feed today, so I'm not sure which direction you are travelling in. I hope you were able to dodge the cyclone in FNQ.
Thanks heaps we appreciate it, we are a few weeks behind in videos to where we actually are. We were heading north made it as far as Cairns (videos to come) but have since headed back south Thanks for your concern
great my brother
We too started our big lap a month ago. We're in SA now about to cross the Nullarbor. We have a desert storm 19.6 enjoy your travels.
That’s awesome We are heading that way next year some time, might bump into you guys 👍
I know of a real good lure
Haha tell me later 😜
What do you do with your dogs when you go off bike riding and to different sight seeing locations
Hi Helen, Thankyou for your question - we will either get a day pet sitter using an app called Mad Paws, or if it’s only an hour we will turn the aircon on in the caravan and let them have a sleep. Being big dogs it doesn’t take much to tire them out. Some occasions the caravan parks don’t allow you to leave your dogs though.
