I just noticed you also had trouble reconnecting the hard line. Can you please provide the part numbers you used for the substitution? Please don't just say R16 on ebay.
How are they working now? Any more problems with them?
Whats considered low miles to where you wouldn'twanna change it? Mine has 96k.

The real reason why the 2.4 consumes alot of oil is because of the piston rings design, so if you can, replace all 4 piston rings and pcv* and the oil consumption problem should be fixed. Edit : to that, I'm adding replacing the valve gasket as well because it's a known issue with this engine, the gasket usually gives up at around 110-115k miles so if your tc is over 100k miles, replacing the valve gasket is a good idea to prevent oil leaks
From what I know is that the 04-06 has the issues with the pcv. The 07-09 or 07-10 has the piston ring issue.
@@peterlee1992 mine is a 07, the worst year of the bunch, mine burns oil bc piston rings and the pcv valve, which gave up at around 125k miles.
wow I am having the same exact issue. after having it aligned to have the rears straight and centered I got the squeaking noise. ive been greasing it once a month but im so tired of it. im thinking maybe the megan racing arns are better?
That’s my brake on my 2008 scion TC
I have a 2005. I changed PVC, still oil gets low. Then removed coils and saw they were wet with oil. The valve cover gasket was cracked and leaking lots of oil bur I had no oil stains on ground. Once I changed the valve cover gasket oil getting low stopped
Curious to know what gasket did you replace? Mine is having oil consumption problems but no leaks so far
Thank you so much for this! Your video was so good at covering everything you need to do.
Appreciate the video, very well explained and very detailed on what you're doing and what tools you are using thank very much!!!!!

LMAO. “It’s a mix of 3 & 4”. Dude, before you say something on the World Wide Web, maybe do a minutes worth or research. 3 and 4 are not mixed, it means that it meets the minimum standards of both.

Bud theres a difference between a mega and a monter truck, but i gotta say, nice rig
this is by no means a monster truck
Just because it has rear wheel steer doesn’t mean a monster truck.😂
Just a lifted Chevy?
thats a mud truck bru
That’s not a monster truck
anything with 50 inch tires and rear steering is a monster truck in my book

Get me more subscribers! I spend a year talking and doing things for the Scion tC community and my channel didn’t grow as I want it to do. If I see more demand for the Scion tC I’ll make more videos about it but my soul purpose is to get my channel to grow.
@@theimportschannel86 that's a separate issue but it might help if u upload more & consistently 😅

My prior issue not shifting into gear turned out to be a bad clutch. Dealer fixed and gave me some parts back. The clutch was *really* bad - a couple of the disc plate buffers were broken into pieces. I suppose after 140k of medium to heavy use I can't complain, but dealer charged possibly double what an independent mechanic would have charged.
Thank you for your video
Can you provide a link for the tail light please?
