Hello everyone, this is Taipei News. I’m Sydney Weng, your host for the English News Segment this week at the Taipei Broadcasting Station. Youth Employment Rate Continues to Rise The city’s Department of Labor has been actively organizing recruitment events with hopes to facilitate higher employment rates among the youth. As of November, 2024, the DOL has hosted 522 events while the number of young job seekers under 30 are showing promising employment rates, after reaching record highs for three consecutive years. However, recent media reports claimed that “the weekly recruitment activities have achieved limited results .” The Bureau has refuted these claims, describing them as inconsistent with the facts. Looking ahead, the Labor department plans to work closely with the Youth Affairs Bureau to create more opportunities for the youth in both job placements and internships. Xinyi Plaza 22 offers a hidden gem right in the heart of the city-a picturesque grove of bald cypress trees. With their fiery orange hues, these trees provide the perfect backdrop for holiday outings and photography. Here’s the report. From November to February, bald cypress trees transform into a vibrant display of colors.\ Xinyi Plaza 22 offers a surprising urban alternative to what is usually available in higher altitudes. Conveniently located near Songzhi Road in the Xinyi District, the plaza is easily accessible via public transportation.
