Nitro 4K Offride Video 2019-21 (Including BTS Footage) - Six Flags Great Adventure B&M Hyper Coaster
Nitro is a B&M Hyper roller coaster located in Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson, NJ. It has been one of the most popular rides at the park since its opening in 2001. The ride goes 230ft in the air and goes as fast as 80mph. Nitro's layout consists of a 215ft drop, an intense double helix, a hammerhead turnaround, and multiple floater airtime hills. I found the ride pretty underrated among the coaster enthusiast community as it is currently one of my favorite B&M Hyper coasters.

this is one of the 2 B&M hypers with a splashdown, the other being Diamondback at Kings Island (excluding Shambhala because it has a fake splashdown)
Is this ride smooth? I know s&s builds great rides but idk it seems a little rough from offride
It’s not as smooth as some Intamins. There’s a pretty noticeable rattle throughout the entire ride and some transitions can feel a bit awkward. But I don’t these flaws ruin the ride in any way.

The way that structure moves is crazy. Shows how power the ride is.
The fact that it sways kinda ruins the ride for me. Not because I’m scared but because I thought this ride was goodly out togeather
What do those s&s launches feel like? bc they seem very powerful but very fun at the same time
These launches are super powerful but as a result the acceleration feels to be over in just a brief instant. Like, you feel the punch for 1 second and then you are gliding down the launch track without much forces (but that one punch is EXTREMELY powerful). I personally like the Intamin hydraulic launches better because they last longer but it all depends on person preference.

This coaster sways!!!
You can see the rearmost wheel on the back car lifting off of the track at 0:09 (17th frame) 0:19 (22nd frame). Pause and cycle forward/backward one frame with the "," and "." keys.
Good eye, just looked and indeed the rear wheel is off the track for a moment lol
Unfortunately, they increased the size of the upstop wheels so now it barely lifts off the track.

I've ridden Steve and while I haven't ridden this, I still think I would slightly prefer Steve if I rode this. But this thing still looks legendary. Also, this one of the best off rides for El toro I've seen.

@@co-benco That is how the ride is designed, the flexible structure absorbs the forces exerted on it by the train and it helps to keep the ride together. It's the same reason why you bungee jump with a bungee cord instead of a steel chain. If you look at any other roller coaster with wooden structure (especially the larger ones), they all sway to a certain extent when a train goes by. Some obvious examples I can think of would be Blue Streak at Conneaut Lake, Iron Rattler, or Medusa Steel Coaster.

Congratulations, this is a great ride footage. I am so impressed by theming on this park. So sad to read about those bad operations, it's specially weird because normally B&M is the fastest & easiest manufacturer to operate with. Thank you so much to show us better this incredible machine, specially for those like me who live far from China.
Thank you very much! This park used to be my home park until I moved to America. The park has good ride collections and theming. The Superman Ultimate Flight clone they have is still my all time favorite Superman clone in the world just because the theming was so good. My only problem with the park is the operation. Any coaster except for Extreme Rusher were running one train even though the park was clearly packed in Western standards (2 hours long wait, but I have experienced 4 hour waits in this park before, only in that case they will run two trains). So yeah, China is great for coasters but the crowds are big problems.
