Today was all about bonding with Cheese. We set a challenge to see who could catch the biggest kahawai so we headed over to the East Coast and it did not dissapoint. Watch this footage rto see who won the challenge and to see Gannets working in the river mouth. Enjoy.

Love that part of Zee. 30 years ago could pull massive Paua off the spit in waist deep water, by massive I mean the biggest you’d ever see. Was a Doc hut just over the hill to the right with a wold class point break too. I’ve seen the spit barreling super hard in the right conditions.
I just recently returned my Tagit bag as it doesnt really fit my reload. The eyelets are attached too far back on the bag which means the bag sits too far forward when attached to the kayak and interferes with the rod holders. Are you able to show me how you attach the bag on your kayak?
I had a robfprt series catch bag fits much better

i never use them, if you lose a fish and the rig, that fish is now dragging the rig around.

Because I don't see the point putting 1000m of line on a spool the back is only there so I get about 300m on the spool and it is full to.cat full distance still. And have plenty to respond again and again

Those rigs can catch alot of fish man they have been my go to rig of late and caught plenty of fish on them.

The stickers keep ot current as they have only gone put in the last 2 weeks , cheaters will always be cheaters.
It's taken me a few years to sort this out and is pretty much the same as your rig except I have a running clip to attach the traces to so I can pre bait & freeze them. I found the less hardware down the barrel the better. The biggest challenge for me still is to have a bait left on the hook at 200 meters. A great presentation mate, clear and precise, well done, & I'm looking forward to more from you about this great way of fishing Cheers

What happens if you catch a large fish of those cliffs? How do you get it up?
It has been 20 years since I was last there, the erosion is shocking, much like as at Kai iwi.
