I had this stored in my garden for 2 years for the previous owner , it was beyond . We called it the flintstone car as you could stand on the ground through the footwell Great to see it finally restored ! It was worth it for Nigel as it’s clearly sentimental

I can’t believe a man of Nigel Benns wealth trusted some back street garage to change a rare Porsche 959 from LHD to RHD, wtf? Knowledgeable folks would never do foolish things like that. A 959 is no souped up Ford Escort RS with go faster stripes. It was an unprecedented technological achievement in the automotive world at the time and Porsches flagship supercar of the 80s. It’s no wonder that scally garage he chose bit off more than they could chew and ruined the car, and Benn found it undriveable. They likely stripped, stole and sold off parts too and made a tidy sum on the side. Imagine the conversation the bastard mechanic had in a pub with his mates “I was working on Niges car today, luverly motor. It’s gonna make us lots of dosh for myself and the missus for our hols in Benidorm this Summer, luverly jubbly‘… Poor Nigel, I mean literally. Lacking knowledge and getting robbed of £thousands as well as his pride and joy. Reminds me of Bruno and his tales of woe - getting robbed blind of jewellery and Rolexes by ‘friends’ he welcomed into his house and thought were trustworthy.
