Some red tails have made my yard I to a killing ground, and they're taking ground hogs bigger than my dogs, so I'm here picking up any tips, because apparently you're not allowed to off a dangerous predator going after your dogs Not sure about the law when the attack is occurring though, I'm gonna defend my dogs and solve the problem

I started using recorded screeches from the great horned owl that are available on TH-cam. I take a laptop outside with a Bluetooth speaker to magnify the sound. It seems to help either shiny objects or a plastic owl decoy anyway.

Can you show how you made the owl reflectors?

I thought the cd thing would also distract the other wanted birds from gardens. Is that true? This would defeat the purpose

first time i watched this, my first pigeon, King Pigeon, was 8 years with me. then years went on, i started thinking of how many years does King Pigeon still have left. this morning was his last flight. this evening, unable to do more, i sadly watched him take his last breath. he was 15 years with me. i will surely miss him.

Dennis, will this method work against Peregrine Falcon? I noticed one and want to deter bc we have lots of sparrows and finches out here. Thx for tips. I will implement.

Thank you so much. I have a bird feeder in my back yard & a few weeks ago I noticed a serious amount of feathers in my backyard corner. So when I went to investigate the pigeon was torn to pieces. I know it's nature but I was so angry the poor thing was helpless. Now- I just rescued another pigeon after feeding the birds & while feeding them I kept my eye out for any predator & not long after that, noticed something quite large that turned out to either be a Falcon or Hawk. I raced out there so fast to find the pigeon in the corner scared to death. I'm feeding the poor thing with some fresh water and it has a green tag so he/she belongs to someone. Hopefully-I can get her or him back home.

Crows are the best repellent. Crow decoys using a crow call or feeding and attracting actual crows to your yard really keeps them away. I have stoped hawks mid persuit by blasting the crow sound at them.
