what year was this house built? I'm wondering if the house had its first hurricane...it will tell me how strong the house is, sitting on a cliff
Bathrooms are a bit off- almost like they put the door on the wrong side of the wall so you have to shimmy between the toilet and the sink
Being that I'm in the Construction business, I could fix this up myself...except for the pool but I know people that knows people so that's an easy fix 😂

I've stayed in F14 many times, looking down on this condo. Now I got to see the inside and is it nice. The view from this condo rivals the views from the G building. Coakley Bay is a great complex.

Thanks for sharing I was 15 going on 16 and left the island after a few months. The place was devastated and we could go back to school. So my dad send me to Aruba to renovate my passport and I stayed. How far has everyone come is amazing. I miss Humbug and everyone from back in the day. My dad is the only one of the family that stayed. Greetings from the Ras family and if your reading this and now my dad Luis “Tico” Ras say hello 🤣🤣🤣 he’s a real cruzan ♥️
Hugo make me a Dan remember that song from Jam Band ? I was 5 when Hugo hit. St. Thomas. We didn’t lose our roof but some on st Thomas did. I always heard that st. Croix got hit really hard but I never saw any footage until your video. Thanks for documenting it. I wish we had iPhones back then to document everything in 4K. 6 years later, hurricane Marilyn hit in 1995 and mash us up bad in st Thomas. Roof gone. Was homeless for about a week until we made a temporary roof with a blue tarp! But we built back stronger. New building codes. Concrete ring beam for the roof. Rafters anchored into the ring beam. And hurricane clips anchoring down the roof. And the storms are getting even stronger. Irma and Maria were monsters. And this year with beryl so early in the season and category 5 already. Wow. Stay safe everyone.

The WORST storm in St. Croix history. Hugo's name is retired never to be used again. Thats how destructive it was. I experienced Hugo as a child and witnessed complete devastation. Schools were in double session for awhile. Lots of looting, tarped roofs etc... our beaches have never been the same.

Longtime Subscribed love your great content, beautiful condo. My question since I'm in Florida I see the condo crisis crashing market due to higher insurance and master policy HOA etc people are walking away and just abandoning or taking any offers for places because of the high reassessments and taxes. Is any of this happening down there? HOA Cost in that place? Short Term Rentals allowed? Pets? What is the occupancy of the entire unit complex or mostly seasonal residents? Thanks!

This is a beautiful area. One of my favorite places on the island. We love to eat breakfast at Deep End. I know Peter and Karen Gunzinger (I hope I got that right) used to live in this area. Do you know which house it was. You could see Green Cay well from it. We went to a party there back in 1975 and the view was so awesome. Great folks now living in Switzerland.

Why do most houses on the island have no garages
Good question! Some of it has to do with the high cost of construction… So sometimes you’ll see carports. The other thought is that a lot of people don’t have fancy cars here… They just have an island beater car and don’t care about protecting it from the sun and weather.
For an island that gets hit with hurricanes you would think building a garage would be a must have. plus the house is right across the street from a boating Marina, I also noticed the house is not gated around especially on that side, so what happens when there's a hurricane ARE all those boats going to end up floating in the yard? There is plenty of land space to build a 2 car garage, so they need to come down on the price. Im not a big fan of all that woodwork inside the house.

@@BuyStCroix I was watching them build a house here in Florida. They can withstand a cat 3 hurricane and cost less than 1/2 of conventional construction
@@1000tomandben yeah… it looks promising… But it’s a little bit early in the game to make a final call in my opinion. and since we are in hurricane Alley… Category fives are more likely. We have had two since 1989. Hurricane Hugo and hurricane Maria.
The Bones look good and you can't beat the location, just depends on what they're asking...I'd definitely clear the bushes by the pool for beach access
