When this film was shot in February 2nd, 1946, Japan was a war-torn country, and people suffered scarcities of daily necessities. However, this footage shows that people enjoyed peaceful life though life was still frugal. People looked happy thanks to peace and stability. As a Japanese citizen, I find the origin of Japanese life in this movie. I think Japanese people might lose something important which was taken for granted when this movie was produced.
