Desert Broadcasting Network is an online news outlet initiative founded by two University of Botswana students from the Media Studies department. The duo Levi Mberego and Carol Kgomotso explain that their passions collided and hence the birth of DBN. Levi has a deep passion for videography and loves being behind the camera and has shot a wide range of videos for concourses of people freelance for the love of videography, his partner Carol Kgomotso is an avid public speaker with a deep interest in current affairs and aspires to work on CNN someday.
DBN uses Facebook (Desert Broadcasting Network) and a TH-cam channel under the same name to broadcast their news clips and aspires to expand to Television in the near future. The structure of their content is set to take the form of short news clips, mini documentaries and an interview series.
