I have owned the mk6 Mexico, the Mk6 Rs20004x4 but never owned a Cosworth I worked in a Ford garage from October 1984 to February 2005 I worked on all the models throughout that period The 3 car’s that Ford produced in that period that stood out for me were the Escort Rs1600i , Escort Cosworth and the 3door Sierra Cosworth. You have a lovely example, keep hold of it , you will not find anything to take it’s place ❤

A bit late in commenting but this has to be my dream car, yes supercars are nice and all but not really everyday driver's cars i could own 1 of these an never look at another car there that good. I own a 89 r 5 gt turbo another child hood dream of mine. Your escort is stunning I'm sure you still have it 👍

It is very refreshing to see someone showing love to a car that was ridiculed when it was released... I would love a little Mexico like this as they are very under appreciated classics now. Two other differences on big and small turbo was the fuel filler caps. T3 turbo and the t25. Rocker covers are different too. Love the video ladies. It's always been one of my 1st dream cars, I do like Katie's the most, wish you both well 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

Not a “real” Mexico, the body colour vin plate will probably say “base” or L “I did lots of things in that car”…. Please elaborate 😂😂 I would fit the fog lights, paint the bumpers and fit the MK5 RS2000 diamond cut wheels.

The MK5 looks far, far better, more unique, agree that the MK6 was more refined. A/C and opening rear windows were optional on the RS2000, they were available in the UK The Cossie had an MT75, the RS2000 had the MTX75 The I4 in the RS2000 is transformed by a simple modification… remove the EGR, the difference is night and day

In 1996 I moved from Australia to the UK and one of my first jobs was working for a car hire company in Wokingham Berkshire I was use to driving big Aussie V8's and six cylinders My boss told me to jump in one of the new Escorts that had just been delivered and take it to a client I thought "Ah yeah a four cylinder Pommie Ford how long is this gonna take to deliver" Well after about Five minutes of driving this thing with Mexico on it I was in love It was the best 25 minutes of my life ,driving it along country lanes with my foot down what a great little car

Thanks for yet another cracking video , the TT will be missed by many and as you said in the video you won’t see anything like it again from Audi in the electric world . A cult classic in the making . Used to love the RS 2000 4X4 myself. My mate had one in dark blue, with the oil-pattern RECARO seats. He basically said it was a Cozzie without the turbo. Rapid and handled well...the engine purred, white dials, the seats were one of the best looking and comfiest i'd ever sat in...Mint!....

MK2 best looking TT out of the 3 generations for sure and a proper analog car unlike the new age tablets everywhere iPhone on wheels nonsense we call cars these days...sad to see the TT discontinued future generations are being deprived from the joy of having affordable sports cars, or affordable cars in general.

Which do we prefer? You're comparing a 59k Audi ttrs to a used £12-13k Audi TT front wheel drive not even a S nevermind a RS MK2 TFSI front wheel drive best of the mk2 tt? They did release S and RS models of the MK2 so most definitely not! A very good looking car for it's age though without a doubt.

Currently got a 2009 Sprint Blue TTS S tronic stage 1 c310 bhp as my daily,and looking at replacing it with a Mk3 TTS,drove one recently and it is natural evolution of the Mk2, and surprisingly it is lighter, unfortunately the RS is out of budget, unless I sold my two toys, a TVR Tamora and a car you reviewed at Dunton a couple of years ago, a Nimbus Grey XR4i

The 2wd Mk5 RS2000 was the better looking and better drive over the 4 x 4 mk6 and the mk5 2wd was quicker than the mk6.

Sold my Cosworth Starlet which I'd had built from the ground up into my personality on wheels. But had to sell it to buy our dream property in the south of France. The starlet was literally a part of me, an extension of me, a complete one off that cant be replicated... but I don't miss it enough that it upsets me. Cars are always second to the people in your life and your lifestyle, they are pieces of metal.

I had a red 2wd 1996 one,what let them down was the 15" wheels it needed 18's and the front bumper it looked like a standard escort from the front and the steering wheel should have been RS style not a standard looking one.other than that I loved mine
