The UN-ASSOCIATED Poetry Jam -- August 24th, 2024
Twice a year, our community comes together for our Poetry Jam to connect with one another, worship God and share our stories through spoken word. Our poetry show takes on a different spin by placing God at the center of all we do. Each performer shares their story of triumph in order to give glory to God and proclaim their victory over various challenges they’ve faced. Before each performer begins their piece, they are instructed to introduce themselves with the following script:
“I am [insert name] and I am un-associated with [insert struggle].”
In doing this, the performers communicate who they are and the challenges they refuse to associate with their sense of identity.
This time around, the theme of the show was surrender. As you watch, we ask you to invite you to keep this theme in the front of your mind, and we hope that you consider the things in your life God might be calling you to surrender into His hands. God bless!

มุมมอง 1708 หลายเดือนก่อน
Let's face it, we've all fell down the rabbit hole of an end time conspiracy at some point in our lives by now. Realistically, we will never be able to escape with the frenzy of conspiracies, false prophecies and heresies that drop every week on the internet. Nevert...
God Doesn't Have An Ego, Here's How I Know... | Churchboy Confessions Podcast

Most conversations surrounding the gospel talk about the physical pain, suffering and death that Christ experienced on our behalf. Today I want to talk about something else Jesus endured for our sakes, and that's humiliation. Some people think God is egotistical, but when we really take time to consider what it meant for the Creator to humble Himself and suffer at the hands of His own creation,...

Are You Anxious About Purpose? | Churchboy Confessions Ep. 203
มุมมอง 2219 หลายเดือนก่อน
The conversation around our individual purposes can be an exciting one or anxious one depending on who you ask. I've noticed a large amount of anxiety our generation has when it comes to this. We are in a point in our lives where we want to know our purpose, but it seems like God doesn't want to give us a clear answer to what that is. How do we continue to navigate our day-to-day, uneventful, u...

Womp womp nappy head
Looks don’t matter to God. The heart is what matters, but looks do matter to the world. Unfair, not right, but unless people check themselves and realize that’s not what it should be about, then most likely that is what it’s about for most people living on auto pilot. I have to remind myself all the time to not judge a book by its cover.
Do not be after someone's heart especially God's
You are not ugly bro. I wish I looked like you.
Wow this spoke to me so badly! I thank God for your experiences that have allowed you to share this with us and I pray that because I’ve heard this explanation, it finally clicks.
Hey! You are missed, brother. Hope to hear a new podcast episode soon. God bless you! 😄
Amen! Thank you God!! This video popped up totally at the right time, God is amazing. 🙏 It's more important to be internally beautiful in God's eyes than to have outer beauty in the eyes of the people.
Brother I wonder why some folks gear being a stumbling block toward a revealing woman? When stumbling blocks come in many forms.
That's why I'm not married today.
i like this and i needed this more than you could ever know thank u
thank you so much for this. I believe that the Lord led me to this video, as I am dealing with some insecurities after the Lord has convicted me to no longer wear makeup. I want you to know that it was a blessing to me, and I also want to thank you for using the King James Bible, the true and preserved word of God. Thank you and God bless you.
So this does not just apply to what we eat and drink. So what about if a person lives in the same house that is set up like a duplex, owned by a person of the opposite gender?
It's an overarching principle we can use. And we must rely on the Holy Spirit to help us discern what is right in different contexts. We also must be honest with ourselves and our temptations. I don't know much about this situation with duplex, but one can argue that it is fine or that it is not okay. Depends more on the details surrounding the context.
Continue reading. Moses still didnt think he was worthy until God got angry and allowed him to be assisted by Aaron. Sometimes knowing god made us is not enough to give us confidence. Stop cherry picking scripture. It sends the wrong nessage
Thank you for this message ❤
It bothers me that we have all these attractive depictions of Jesus when it says he had no comeliness.
"You want to subject yourself to their subjectivity!?" 🔥 You went crazy there, still. God bless you and the team for this one.
❤❤❤who is the One...that deems you valuable? ❤❤❤Who is the one who deems you worthy?? 😮😮😮Bruh...this hit me hard today...I began to read about comparison...envy....then this!! I needed this 🎉
I'm a female. I have been struggling with this for a long time.
Thank you for sharing. I've replayed this video so many times. Your words are really encouraging to me. I feel less lonely knowing I'm not alone in how I feel in certain seasons of the year.
Rereading the Gospel of Mark and just finished the analogy of the wine in the wineskins and I feel like it’s resonated now in where I’m at in my walk with Christ. Thank you for this and all praises to God

HAPPY 200!!!
The old wine skins represent the old man of Sin, the new wine is the Holy Spirit and we know that God gives his Spirit to those that obey him. To the people who have repented of their sins and had their past sins washed away through baptism, the Spirit indwells the new man in Christ, and both are preserved, thus the Parable
the episode is so good, i'm in my 20's and life is just confusing when you're trying to figure out works. i come back to listen to this episode and you did an amazing job, God bless
My only concern about this is compromise. I believe the idea needs to be tested (test the spirit 1 john 4:1) if it is biblically accurate or then we could be in danger of accepting heresy, false doctrine, etc. jesus was not instructed his followers to blindly go with the wind of every new idea in the world. This was a one time instance of Jesus saying to john’s disciples he is bringing something new. Not that take this scripture and anytime something new comes up, just accept it.
Thank you for this
I usually listen to the podcast version but I had to come see the visual for my sis Tiphanie!!!!
Thank you for watching! 💙
