Through the Clouds from Wengen to Männlichen (Cloud Inversion)
There was a cloud inversion in the Jungfrau region (Berner Oberland) on 8 August 2022. In Wengen (1274 m) the weather seemed foggy, but the top of the Männlichen (2227 m) was above the clouds. Most people on the cable car from Wengen to Männlichen did not know what was about to happen. They thought it would be a cloudy and miserable day. Witness what happens when we move through the clouds on the Luftseilbahn Wengen-Männlichen...

Dear Cactusduo Thank you for posting this wonderful video! Can I, by any chance, repost your channel on the Gan Jing World platform? Of course I will keep everything as is and also include your channel as source.
bravi!
Bravi! Very nice sound!
Does anyone know where can I find the sheet music for this?
Hi, I got the sheet music from a book called "Compendium I" by Karl Lenski. Got it second-hand, and I'm not sure whether you can still find it. The book tells me that this piece has been taken "from the 50 Airs Anglois of George Bingham (printed in Amsterdam, no date), preserved in the Bibliothèque du Conservatoire Royal de Musique, Brussels". Couldn't find it in that collection on IMSLP though. By the way, the part until 1:15 was improvised so you won't find sheet music for that (and the ground bass is also just based on the four notes d, c, b flat and a, so it's basically improvised throughout). Good luck and thanks for watching!
@@cactusduo Thank you very much! I found it actually on IMSLP in 40 Airs anglois, Livre 3 by George Bingham.
@@yerawizardnick7835 That's awesome!

Spectacular Performance! Bravo. Great tones, ensemble coordination and excitement! Rock on Recorders.
Goed gespeeld! Mooie lijnen en sfeervol neergezet.
Mooie uitvoering! Complimenten!!!!
Heel goed gespeeld! Mooie uitvoering!
Thanks for your feedback. While I can imagine that you find our performance too hasty, I do not think that "pauses" or "rubati" would be appropriate for this piece. The ground usually just goes on and on, in the same tempo and without interruption. That leaves us with the tempo at which we played the piece. I think that's a matter of taste. I can appreciate that you would like a more tranquil pace, but we'll have to consult Mr. Finger himself one day to find out what his intention was. ;)
Es que se trata de una pieza más melancólica, para interpretar, frasear, no para demostrar erudición o virtuosismo. Pero bueno,m cada uno la toca como quiere o como puede. Saludos desde Argentina.
Well, you may be right there. At least the piece is in D minor, so it may very well be meant to convey a melancholic atmosphere. Our performance was certainly not melancholic. We will consider what you said when we play this piece next time. Thanks again. Anyhow, what we did was certainly not meant to "demonstrate virtuosity". We just love music. :)
Bravo!!!
Bill Baumann Thanks for your comment! This was the first time we did an actual improvisation on stage. :)
Mooi hoor
Bedankt!

Grazie!
bravi! interesting transcription and performance
WOW!!
Wat een goeie uitvoering, en mooi in beeld gebracht! Gelukkig zijn de namen van de uitvoerders tegen het eind nog even te zien. Alle lof!
Incredible stuff.
That's a cool piece, performed with a powerful ability to bring it to life as i personally had expected from the pictures the composer is painting. (Normally they should only compose and play, but this one needs a double job!) Guys! That's why you did it so nice! Two thumbs up twice for both of you. (I shared it in my FB too :p)
@hhooman I'm so glad you liked it! Thanks for your comment.
Amazing ! Nice to know you.
