This is a precursor to a trail we named Relentless Wicked Sauce of Endor since we didn't really know the name of it. This is a nice easy warm up...

We ignored the covid hype, and went riding. An old, previously non-released video from 2019. Trails were first cut here by various Puget Sound tribes, then Captain Vancouver sent an expedition to hack their way through the underbrush to summit this local summit to get a perspective on the waters they were mapping. Fast forward to the 70's and adventuresome riders brought there Elsinore CR250s u...

Last segment of 3 wrapping up the trail. If you made it this far thanks for watching. The Goat is a significant technical challenge, requiring a gummi tire such as a v33s Gekota, or similar to be able to get traction over the rock and root step ups. "It's steeper than it looks on video" is true here. It's about a 2400' elevation gain to the top.

One of my favorite trails, close to home rode it 4 times in 2023, twice on solo loops. Multipart series showing the whole trail, so if you want some trail beta sit back, crack a cold one and enjoy. Picked up my 2023 300 XC in April 2023 and it's a fantastic bike. A cheater bike in all respects.

Another chapter in a bizzaro day at Saddle Mountain. We ride down Bise Hill, or is it Haybeck's Hill? Depends who you ask. The top layer of sand froze during the day while we were riding up above and in the canyons. We came across some guys before we descended that were killing the hill climbs good bet they high marked here.

First time riding Funny Rocks /Moon Rocks area. Very cool would like to spend some more time there. Would be a blast on a trials bike! (I think hahaha). Was "Lost" on the other side by the lakes and then headed down to Jacks for a cold one! 120 mile day! Whoo hoo. Met Chris riding solo on the lake side and brought him up to check out the area with us. None the worse for wear on that little face...

Early season riding a great trail that climbs, climbs, climbs. Snow and blockage at higher elevations and this lower trail was already dry and dusty. Of course being in a south facing clear cut certainly helped dry it out early.

    Just need to comment on this, very well done and top-notch scenery....about the same time I did a 72 nd birthday ride 80 miles from South Cle Elum to Hawkins Peak. There were three of us, the guy who lead the ride logged this area 30 years before. The trail we did that was like this goes from Lake Gallagher 1392 Trail down to the Teanaway wooden bridge. He told be there was only a few switchbacks but it turned out he forgot there was 26 of them. The trail was narrow with the same kind of rock wall on the one side and the drop-offs made my butt pucker. I was very happy to make it through and live to tell about it. I have raced in WA ST and owner well over 1,000 bikes....Thankx.....eBurg WA

I now run a 48 tooth rear on my 2024 TE 300 to make the steeps a little easier. The Clake One Light Clutch is your best friend on a trail like that. You can test mine.

    Wow..finally someone on a 501 that knows how to ride single track! Good pace. The 501 looks like a gem on single track. Ride it a gear high and go style. I hear a lot of guys complain about the weight but really it's a light bike. Scott Summers used to win national enduro titles on a 300 pound Honda xr. The husqvarna would have to feel like a feather compared to Scott's Honda. With that said, does the 501 feel light to you on the single track? I know there is the rotating mass thing but I've ridden 4 strokes on single track in the past and could barely tell the difference in weight to a 2 stroke. Penny for your thoughts..Haha! Steve from Ohio.

    • @endurok39pnw
      @endurok39pnw 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks Steven. The 501 is a great bike and very capable for beginner to intermediate single track especially if you want to set it up for dual sporting with some @TrueNorthMotos racks for bags and mix in double track/single track routes. It will get a bit heavy on more technical terrain where a good rider can mitigate the extra weight some with technique. I have ridden two 501's and they come pretty plush from the factory which makes for a luxury ride as long as you don't push it too hard. They also have a linkage vs. PDS rear suspension so that helps stay planted. For comparison my Husqvarna FX 450 is a much narrower and lighter bike with more power and can be ridden a magnitude faster on this type of trail if you really like ripping along! Cheers.

      Just threw it together. Some rope, pullies, biners. It was more intended for the off-trail excursion recovery but we thought we would give it a try. That was a cold day, hard tires. Since then I have gotten my bike up that hill by myself hike-a-biking it but no assistance. It is an expert level trail.
