Lee's were the jeans of choice of early hip hop, hands down. Put that with a Playboy bunny shirt and some shell-top Adidas with fat laces... Pfft, u are just about ready to lay the cardboard from a refrigerator box on the pavement and get to break dancing. And don't even stress, u will Rock that Box..
I've always loved this song the first time I ever heard it was back in Grand theft Auto vice City when I was 8 years old. after randomly remembering it and having it on repeat in my playlist for the last couple of years, I heard a clip of Jimmy saying this was one of Patrice's favorite songs of all time. That made me feel good. Rest easy Unk and thanks for all the wisdom you've shared
I completely agree. Since Rockbox came out every time I got something that music can be played it’s first song played has been Rockbox. Box radios, CD players, DVD players, smart phones. I was all in when I heard this song.
I like some hip hop, but I'm not going to lie: If more hip hop songs had riffs like these, I'd listen to more. Lil Wayne has some fine shredding in Lolipop. You guys invented rock!
Right? I still have the 45 that I bought in like '84 when I was 14? I'd play it over & over trying to do head spins on the concrete floor. I've always been stupefied by the fact that nobody ever talked about this song for the last 40yrs...when it is CLEARLY their best song! Beastie Boys didn't come on the scene (at least not in my little mountain town in Colorado) until my senior year so '86 & their 'Rock Box style' was what I liked about them right out the gate.
As a white dude. I gotta say, Stairway to Heaven does nothing for me. Rock box on the other hand. 10/10 perfect song, everything about it. Man, I miss Patrice O’Neal.
The best . Before it's time. The guitar 🎸 and the drums and turn tables , and the rap.and the lyrics is unprecedented. RUN DMC, and Jam Master Jay. ✌ Before rap turn into mess.
what episode was this from?
It is pretty damn good
I'm 53 and I still listen to rock box and run-dmc in general to this day
Our DJS better than all these bands not fans lol
STFU PATRICE TRYING TO LISTEN ! 🤣

Rock box ❤ forever
It took a fuckin grand robbery of blues re stole it back.
Dammit I wish Patrice was here 💔
That is a great album. Conceptually Run DMC was on it.
Rock Box is a classic song for sure and it was produced by one of the most underrated producers of all time, Larry Smith. R.I.P.
He's not lying.

I cant disagree
idk why i get all soft when ppl talk about their favorite music. music makes the world go round’
I FUCKING HATE Hotel California
This song can’t be beat.
I never thought I could like Patrice any more than I already did. Rock Box is my f****** JAM!
Thank you for uploading!
I'm always debating hip hop fans that Rock Box is better than King of Rock & get called crazy most of the time. But I still stick by that
I agree 100%. Both are great songs but in my opinion rock box reigns supreme. Down with the king is a close second for me but nothing tops rock box
I don't care for no greatest dwight bwoy tune
I like some hip hop, but I'm not going to lie: If more hip hop songs had riffs like these, I'd listen to more. Lil Wayne has some fine shredding in Lolipop. You guys invented rock!
My favorite Run DMC song.
Rock Box is the most badass jam! Total classic.
Run dmcs msuic still aged better than majority of the glam metal from tha era
One of the greatest songs ever created.
Omg. I heard this song since I was a kid. I still have they're tapes

Rock Box is definitely one of my favs the lyrics are on a different level.

Patrice speak the truth ...righteous
Rock Box was the shit people. Trust me. I was in the streets when this dropped and EVERYBODY rocked this.
It's still hits. I'm 28. Put this on at the bar a while back. I couldn't believe everyone my age was feeling it at that place got Poppin
Very under rated song
Agree way ahead of it’s time. People just didn’t vibe with it. Way ahead of it time by all time fav from run end
Rock box so underrated these days

Lol THIS IS AWEFUL… but beautiful!… Run DMC is absolutely amazing.
I'd put international players anthem in this conversion because i can't find many people who don't know 3000s verse
Shut up dude
Used Rock box for our entrance song for our wrestling match! Rip Mr. P
Very hard to disagree with this
Legitimate rightiousness.
