Very nice
Thank you
What an excellent reading of an excellent book! You sir did this book a great justice. I see you have other audio books on your channel here; one of which being A Christmas Carol which is another favorite of mine. I will listen to them all. Thanks for such a treat!
Thank you - I appreciate it!
21:14 I admire how Toad’s curiosity with the vehicle led to his fulfillment of something that he enjoys. A life lesson there maybe.
He speaks a wee bit like Ian Carmichael, and a bit like Jeeves. Fun. Sometimes he even sounds like he's on coke, hmmm. 🤔. M

One of my favourite stories of all time. Thank you for your beautiful rendition.
Thank you for your kind words!
@@firesidetales2174 to my horror your wonderful reading of A night to remember appears to have been taken down.
I'm sorry - running into copyright issues at the minute, and am trying not to lose the channel, so to be on the safe side I've had to get rid of lots of my post-1920s published content. Believe me, it makes me sad too.
Funny how Shakespeare wrote so much yet was totally illiterate? His signature was X afterall. And was NEVER outside England yet wrote about Venice so accurately. Tis a true mystery, or do historians plus, really know the truth? Regardless, great stuff thatll live on forever!
Great reader. Thanks!❤
Thank you!
Thank you
Brilliantly read sir
Thank you!
Great to hear you again. Such a great storytelling voice.
Thank you for your kind words!
Thank you very much.
Thank you for listening!
This is english i like. But too fast reading for me (not a native).
Transcript: housekeeping allowance =husky melange😂
The reading is great but far too fast. It's ok if the text is in front of you.
Delightful story,so clever and beautifully read! Thank you😊❤
Thank you for listening!
Perfect.
Thank you!
@firesidetales2174 Thank you, good Sir. I'm now thinking which other tales would be good. So good to hear a human being speaking well.
Easily the best voice on any platform! We've missed you.
Appreciate that - thank you!

Thank you.
Welcome back, thanks for the new upload.
The “anonymous” narrator is one of the best ever…
Very kind of you - much appreciated!
Agreed. Uncommonly good. Saw a comment that it was read too fast and had to add my 2 cents that the reader ought not change a thing.
Thank you so much 🙏❤❤❤
You're most welcome!
Beautifully read! Could you please read Baroness Orczy's 'Man in the Corner' stories?
Thank you! Will see if I get round to picking up some projects again!
The telephone lines parallel and a telephone exchange operator .1920s 1930s?
Always so good to hear it's read. Thank you so much.
Thank you for listening!
great
You have chosen the intro music from the 70's TV series with Y. Carmicheal which I adore. Excellent narration. Thank you🎉
You've done nothing since. One of the few gifted voices that with the right push could make a good living from TH-cam uploads. Your rendition of The Body Snatchers is superb.
I know - life getting in the way, I'm afraid! Just find myself very busy these days, but I'm sure the passion's still there - hopefully over the summer I can dust off an old project or something, or start something new! Very much appreciate the support.

great
You saved me❤ i really need to read the story for an exam, but I couldn't motivate myself to do it... So thankful for your voice, it made me happy to read it ❤
Thank you - glad to hear it!
To the person narrating this i thank you Sir.Ive been emigrated to Canada for over 8 yrs now and i do so so miss English spoken so well
Thank you very much!
An intricate tale! A master was that author
Very entertaining whodunnit
Perfect! Thanks so much ❤❤❤
Gorgonzola…..
The comfort of the familiar accents of my childhood. Thank you.
No comments? Damn lol. Guess first!
Thank you!
Thank you a great listen. 😘
Thank you for posting. Wonderful accent. Like that used by John Gielgud but less pronounced.
My first Sayers ever. Thank you. I recommend the Chesterton stories abailable on YT now. They're great fun.
Superb. Really! These are the kinds of stories your voice is best suited to. Shame you don't do more. But why would you with no support! I think Covid and its aftermath really stifled great stuff like this.
One of the best voices. Shame you haven't the time or inclination to do more - particularly ghost stories.
Hopefully over the summer I'll find a bit more time! Very kind of you though - appreciate it!
Thank you! Thank you!
Sounds like the actor Edward Fox? I remember him from a "Chillers" episode called What The Cat Brought In with Bil Nighy. Introduction by Anthony Perkins.
So well qritten and read!
Thank you!
Wonderfully read and written
Hilarious!
