You missed what I consider the more significant reveal from this interaction: this isnt just any random soldier, but someone specific from our real history that R* is paying homage to. I tried a different scenario with the Odriscoll house. I went there before the mission where I go with Sadie. Then went to Sadie and the mission didn't change. The O'driscolls where all there, as if I hadn't killed them the day before. I was thinking, (hoping) that by killing them first, I could've told Sadie I did her a favor. Or even maybe the gang could've used the O'driscoll place as a hide out.

So the second well. The house was owned by a slaver. The tally marks were probaly put there by a slave that was put in the well as punishment.

funny thing happened trying to get to the island. once i hopped in the boat it wouldnt let me row it, while flailing around trying to trigger the row command i tipped the boat and got stuck under the dock. there was no way out so had to let arthur drown to end the scene.😅

The weapons degrade MUCH slower with the Raven Claw Trinket and the carvings are not that time consuming from TH-cam help of course. And upgraded or trapper gear with it.
