Anna is a hero. As she says in that speech, those wanting a return of the cringeworthy QC titles are tossers.
I love the ties that he wears.

Great to have you with us Ros!
Interesting quote from Gibbons on the patriarchal nature of Roman law in a footnote of a version of a translation of Attic nights.
On the subject matter, mental health act only probably needs minor review. How the organisations that act under it perform their statutory obligations needs major review, starting with how and who determines it, how cases are reviewed, access to legal assistance and it's manipulation, abuse of the privative clauses etc. if you want it to live up to it's obligations that you outline here. Scaevola's diligent man would probably consider it contrary to sections of the constitution in practice. Very big implications for how bureaucracies are permitted to apply detention laws.
Aulus Gellius and William Beloe, Attic Nights of Aulus Gellius, translated into English by the rev. W. Beloe, London: printed for J. Johnson. Vol. 1 pg 113 Pieces of shit being given access to google account to edit, not Johnson so far.
Hon. Anna Katzmann seems to do great deal of research on a given subject in advance.
