I did set a reasonable reading goal of 24 book, since I ready quite slow. This year I also did set a pages goal of 14000. But that big slow moving progress bar in Storygraph is already kind of stressing me out tbh. ^^

📚 Great, wide-ranging haul. The John Gwynne books are on my reading list, but I'm kind of fed up with big series. Sebastian Fitzek is a very popular German author. I think every one of his books is a bestseller (and I haven't read any of them yet).

Wow a good mix of books. I am just trying wrap up loose ends regarding my books in preparation for my 2025 readibg goals. I have never really been in holiday books but this year when i was sicj in bed i binged free christmas cutesy books on audible lol. Krampus The Yule Lord is on my TBR for this Christmas too, I can't wait to read it, I've read Slewfoot and absolutely adored it! Malice I really struggled with, I preferred The Bloodsworn Saga by John Gwynn, but plan to pick up The Faithful and the Fallen series again next year. Happy reading! 😊

I loved The Eyes Are The Best Part, its up there as one of my favourites for the year. I Was A Teenage Slasher is apparently good, that and Welcome To The Hyunam-Dong Bookshop are on my 10 before the end of the year list. It will be interesting to see what you think of the books on you TBR, happy reading! 😊

Great video- lots of your predictions i would agree with, i do think The Haunting of Velkwood will be longlisted ive seen people really like that one. I also agree that mystery/ thriller should be separate categories 😊

I'm rooting for Chuck Tingle and T. Kingfisher - read Bury Your Gays via NetGalley earlier this year and it's really good, and Kingfisher is an autobuy author for me! Unfortunately this being Goodreads I do agree it's gonna be another win for Stephen King - I do love the guy but even if his books are 50/50 hit or miss they get voted en masse :(

Thank you for saying Mystery/Thriller should be separate categories! Because I completely agree!! My thoughts on the horror category is similar to yours. Diavola is excellent, highly recommended! The Eyes are the Best Part was so good too. And My Darling Dreadful Thing has been really well-loved by my friends on booktube. It doesn't have many ratings, but it has recently been featured in numerous subscription boxes: This Cursed House.

Really enjoyed this- I’ve got some similar reading goals for 2023, Non fiction reading was really low for me in 2022 so I’m looking to increase that! I am also awful at reviewing the books I read 🖤
