What do you use to hold your lights up on your windows?

Hello, I would like to start in the world of light o rama. I would have liked to know how many controllers you have to create the shows. I'm trying to calculate the costs to have a nice show like you.

I’m looking into using X lights for my using led tape around the my stage for a sparkle effect. I mainly use Qlab for control over my lights and I have many protocols to send out to third party applications (midi, timecode, Dmx, etc.) Does xlights have a way to retrieve commands to engage certain sequences of led lights for a duration of time?

I wanna do something like this for Christmas this year how many controllers do you typically need

I'm getting ready to install permatrack. I noticed you went tight to the house. I was planning to go more to the outside edge like in the dr z install video. Do you know the difference it makes? It seems it would be out of the weather a little better installed tight. Do you get a good glow on the side of the house with it so close? Thanks

I would like to ask you this , i run a kulp and in fpp i set up the tree in port 1 , then run a 4 port receiver to other props , in fpp i notice the port 1 that runs the tree over laps the receiver ports and the tree sequence runs the same on all receiver ports , i really wanted the tree running its own sequence and the receiver running there own sequences but its not , in fpp my kulp has 8 ports and i saw the fpp set up showing 9a 9b 9c 9d as receiver ports so added to them but after it clearly shows the 1 port is overlapping 9a 9b and so forth , i just want the receiver to run there own sequences not the same as the tree is , what am i doing wrong or how you stop the kulp itself sending the same sequence to the receiver , i did not expect the receiver to run exactly the same sequence , i just thought the kulp could run the tree and the 4 ports off the receiver would do there own colors and sequences .

Would be great to see prop designs more indepth eg talking tree then the programming side

I'm very interested in doing this for the holiday seasons...are there any howtos to get started? IE hardware, controllers etc? I live on a cul de sac and would love to start small and work my way up. im a ham radio operator so the FM broadcast will be a snap for me...its just the lights , controlling them etc.

great setup for your setup you have 2 power supply hook up to run your pixels if i want to hook up 2 power supply do i just connect other wire from the first power supply to the negative ground postive thank you

By my count, you're running SIX 350 watt power supplies on a single 15 amp (20 if you're lucky) outlet? You're really playing chicken with your breaker box. Guessing you're not running much of anything over 30% brightness? Each one of those pulls 6.8 amps fully loaded, so 6 of them sharing a single 15 amp circuit... We are pushing 4500 or so pixels on a single HinksPix Pro controller with dual 350 watt supplies running off one 20 amp outlet. Obviously the draw isn't constant for a pixel show, but sheesh...6 on one outlet is really pushing it to me!

Would be curious on a total parts list and pricing workup for doing something like this. mainly the controllers, lights etc.
