Good video. One thing, if you use a breaker bar or t bar, it's easier and saves on hammering your ratchet.

Hey Stephen. I recently got a 262D 2018 from a Richie brothers I noticed they place a nut and bolt through the hydraulic cylinder (the one that tilts). Question. Would I be able to replace it with the original pin. They also welded the nut.

I always see these dry exhaust bolts , all you have to do is soak them over night if possible , first thing I do is crawl under there and spray them good. While I'm doing other things , when the time comes to remove them they come right out no problem.

If only factories used "Anti-seize" on ALL the bolts that will get rusted and stuck, none of these would even happen and it would make all the poor mechanics that have to remove these bolts (like in this case) life so much easier and none of these would be necessary. PLEASE use Anti-seize after doing this type of work.

Good advice, I have been using this method for fifty odd years sometimes they still break. I have tried all sorts of penetrating lubes and the truth is, on a really rusted bolt, penetrating lube does not penetrate until the bolt/nut has cracked and moved a bit.

It would probably not work as well but, they do make submersible ultrasonic cleaners. I've messed with a couple and they don't tend to last long. They are marketed mostly for "ultrasonic dish cleaners"

Ironically, if you drive it hard, it will regen on it's own. So it's only the customers who drive easy all the time and take it easy, who end up getting scr3wed by this system. smh.. It's such a shame.

Usually a reason it didnt regen on its own. This will get the customer out of a bind though. I agree it sucks. More restrictions on the way.

If you have the time, like overnight or when you can work on something else, putting rust penetrant on will sometimes let it do its magic and work even better.

Can a large charger like this do AGM battery type? Most new cars are coming with them now.

In ADDITION to heating the manifold to expand it, you might also try using a socket that has been previously placed in a freezer to cold-soak and contract the bolt somewhat. Those 2 methods used together just might provide enough extra loosening effect to turn the bolt - with the penetrating fluid of course.

After replacing everything else, I've got just a tailpipe to muffler flange where the existing bolts are so rusted and corroded that there is literally no solid head to put a socket on. There are some pieces there that report to be bolts. I tried using penetrating oil and a wire brush to clean up the piece and remove any loose rust. But honestly, barely anything came off. It's got a solid cone shape coming down. I'm debating just replacing this piece. Anyone think I could use hammer tapping, a torch, more oil or crayons with a vice grip on the studs to back them out that way?

Don’t be fooled. I purchased this because it claims it can do so much with BMW’s. Wrong-O, E46, F30, and so on can not do any of the things like coding and even scanning and the trouble shooting all fail. Tech support is a joke. Go with X431 or even Autel.

Old Army diesel mechanic. Have an old 12" extension around. Put socket and old extension on bolt and give a HAAARD smack with a good heavy hammer. Breaks up rust hold throughout the whole threads.

Ford does have an outside harness, & an inside harness, they plug together unlike GM. GM with a burnt up harness is a problem.😊
