Thank you Mayor for reporting that more people are being tested and surviving. I appreciate the point that people are adapting. While loss of life is tough and my condolences for the families who lost loved ones I am thankful that these points were mentioned.

If this is truly about health and saving lives why Mayor isn't there any campaigning for building up our immune systems? Why this silence? Why is the answer more restrictions, social distancing, mandated masks, and vaccines? Yet outside of washing hands, nothing about our health and how to improve it is mentioned. Where is the campaign to reimagine health for the city of Gary? Vitamins, water fasting, local plant medicine, healthy food, and exercise would be cheaper and more effective alternatives than threatening to shut down this already economically struggling city. I am tired of the grim-style reporting we need hope and real information on how we can take back control of our health, individually and collectively, physically and economically. I imagine there is a lot of pressure for politicians to follow trends than follow their instincts. It doesnt make sense that a health emergency would leave out options to become healthy.. Thank you for your time Mayor and your team for consistent news briefings. My family finds them very informative and effective.

Greetings Mayor, Can you tell me why a lady in planning department hung up on me when I asked, why there is a house on the very next block with THE SAME ADDRESS as mine with the ONLY difference being Drive/Avenue??? Ive had NUMEROUS issues with my mail , IVE spoken with the post master and then attempted to speak to the planning department in YOUR building and was hung up on. ( I have this call recorded, btw) ALSO, I made a complaint against a neighbor for trespassing ALL THE WAY into my back yard, I recently discovered he and his mate work at the post office. I wonder if thats why Im having issues with my mail.

Hi. This idea came to me and thought I'd share with your team. Skills Map What is it? A map of neighborhoods with neighbors names, talents, and skills they want to offer up to members of their community in exchange for use of their neighbors skills and talents (bartering). Why do this? In a post-Covid 19 world people will need to lean on theircommunity and neighbors even more. Many people have had their world financially turned upside down. Many have more time than ever to do more of what they enjoy or at least find out. Many are isolated and technology won't be enough to fill the need of connectedness. We forget that every person has value and that no virus, job loss, or mandate can take away the skills, talents, and experiences we each possess. But many don't know their neighbors or the value that they bring. This is a simple idea that can do all that. Again free idea. Do with it what you'd like.
