Hansi Flick's Tactics
Hansi Flick took over as Bayern Munich's head coach in November 2019, initially on a temporary basis. He was then awarded the role until the end of the 2019/20 season, before a further contract extension until 2023.
During the 2019/20 season, he led Bayern Munich's recovery in the Bundesliga to secure their then 8th consecutive league title.
However Flick also secured a superb Treble in that season, winning the DFB-Pokal, & then the biggest club prize of all, the UEFA Champions League.
This video focuses on his performances in Europe, & how his Bayern side set multiple records on their way to defeating PSG in the final.

Great video man these are one of the wildest tactics i have ever seen
The problem with ALL these videos is they use all these cluttered position symbols, with too-quick commentary. It results in a confusing mess.
This is really succinct, covers all phases of play for each position, good job. I'd be extremely grateful if you could keep piting various formations against each other and explaining them. I would really love to learn more from your channel regarding this. Thank you.

I've never seen anything dumber. Defenders should not be hanging around the back. That's absurd. And how about we get more people around where the ball is going to land. Even at the highest level you have people hiding out there like little bitches. GET A GROUP UNDER THE F'ing BALL and get the fuck out of your own end. Its the kind of thing that makes goal keepers and smart defenders livid.

Thanks. I'm the head coach of the youth team at a pro club, so very, very busy. Hopefully more content at some point in the future.
I always found that the 433 I’m doesn’t really provide as much wide defensive cover as people say, your wide forwards are either looking to get in the box or spread the line. None of these are defensive positions. I find that although you give wide space in the midfield in the 442 diamond, your two more central mid are more likely to move in wider to create space offensively and will be in the half spaces if a turn over occurs.
i prefer 4-3-3 holding formation with 2 cm and cdm and 2 cbs and 1 lb and 1 rb
with 4-3-3 your center backs can stop the strikers and both forwards

4:01 what is an in to out and out to in press? I’ve heard it being used on various websites and Twitter accounts I respect. It’s about where you force the player on the ball?
Essentially yes, where you force the ball, You can either force it out towards the touchline, or you can force it in towards the centre. When pressing as an individual, you should really curve the press to make it more effective, so an in to out press begins inwards initially, to then curve and force the ball outwards
Interesting. And do you know if coaches adjust this based on who their playing against or is it more to do with the personnel on your own team? Another question I have is if this applies to the defenders in the back line, if so how can they position themselves and their body? Thanks for replying
@@samc5801 It will be down to lots of things. As a preference I encourage my players to press in to out, & force it away from the centre. But of course in the game there will be moments where forcing it inside is better. Regarding the back line, I use pressure on the ball as the main reference when coaching. If there is pressure on the ball, then they can face forward. But if there is minimal, or no pressure on the ball, then they must be side on, allowing the to jump forward, but also push back & recover from the same body stance.

Hey quick question about watching actual football matches: how do you watch a game and try to focus on the tactics rather than just for pure entertainment?
Good question. As a rule of thumb, if I'm analysing a game I will watch the ball as little as possible.

Is the 5-5 structure being used the most now among teams in 21st century? So, are the teams returning to the origin which is W-M formation?
Yes, & no. The W-M had a much bigger gap between the two units. 5 defending the penalty area, & then the other 5 high up the pitch. The rules have changed a lot since then, so now the overall structure has to more compact.

Currently with my coaching schedule, I only have time for 1 video per week. Games would be difficult to turn around so quickly. Something for the future though! Could you expand on your previews idea??
