What risk? Free climbing is not free solo climbing - free climbing is very safe. Unless you climb on some badly bolted routes or "clean". I don´t even know of a single case of a known free climber dying by free climbing! Do you?

To all the people who say they dont like his style......... His style is climbing the hardest routes in the world......... I dont follow your logic. Show me a video of yourself climbing these routes with 'proper' style so we can see what you are talking about please

Having to like him because he's one of the best sport climbers today is unnecessary, but hating him for no reason is just as idiotic.

No one gives a shit if you like his style or not, fact is he's one of the best climbers in the world so cleary his style is working.

Sounds like you are just jealous because he can climb better than you. Try turning that jealousy into inspiration and admiration. Positive thoughts are so much healthier than negative ones.

i hate this climber

when i was a little boy, we had a tree in the backyard that was really hard to climb. The children i was playing with stood in front of it and said "you have to be a spider or a monkey to get up that tree" nad all i thought was " i CAN get up there!" i tried, and i made it. that feeling keeps catching up on me whenever i see a wall like this one.

Start hitting the walls, it makes sense why one would go through the pain of climbing when you send a project thats been kicking your ass.

there is very little risk in this form of climbing. The reward is climbing the most difficult rock faces humanly possible (which is the level that Ondra climbs at).

for my self it is for the beauty of it, i feel close to god when i climb. There is risk in everything; it is not as if i have a death wish or anything on the contrary it is because i love life that i climb. and there is something to be said in the fact it isn't competitive, i am not pushing anyone else other than my self. though i will agree it isn't for everyone
