I had this whole programme on vhs and would watch Cesa 1882 flying over and over again. Can you tell me the programme or channel where this clip comes from please .

I remember this very well when Dag Pike said we'll pick them up one by one and I also remember maybe in another race when everybody turned the wrong way n Dag told Fabio to go the opposite way Dag was of course right n they won the race n that was early on in his racing n he said Fabio listening to me gave my confidence a huge boost great job Mr Pike n mr Bootsi

A very much changed race since the "Surfurys" and Faireys racing. 40/50 mph hours was good then? 120 gallons an hour :-o (6 gallons a minute..........a gallon every 15 seconds? scary fast>)

It's a pale imitation of these days now. Too many people involved who thought they knew about the sport and were chancers and rip off merchants. I have this TV programme on the original VHS from when it was broadcast.
34 boats this year MrWightHD, September 3 rd / 4th. Will never be the same give you that , at least both races start of Cowes again.
I miss this - we need to bring the noise and atmosphere to my new Singapore home! They have money!
McCavity won that race fair and square. First British boat to win for many years. IMHO it should always be first boat home wins but "someone" made the decision that the winner should be judged by a "time elapsed" system We were all appalled.
How fantastic to have them all in front of the Squadron again - fabulous sight, wondrous noise...............

taken from the program big water ruff ride steve i got hole video of this from tv south west when they showed it mate wish i could get my videos from the 80s and 90s converted to pc got loads of video footage that you dont see on tv mate keep up the awsome work you do my friend or got any sugestions how i can convert video to pc so i can post what i got for you to my friend pm me if you can help with converting video to pc
My goodness that brought back some memories, John and I got to bed at 5am in Liverpool only to get up again at 7am stinking of booze to get to the mornings briefing. Wouldn't be allowed today but what fun we had then! :)
