    this is a bit off topic but i already bought a pullup bar that loooks similar to that. Unfortunately i want a pullup bar where i have to jump to grab the bar and start doing pullup. The pullup bar is too short so i just hate bending my knees to do pullups. What can i do to increase the base height?

    I think using glue to mount mirrors in most cases is just not the way to go personally. That's what J channels are for, and it's safer anyhow, with no damaged wall whenever you take the mirrors down when moving homes and what not.

    • @andrewhasarrived1904
      @andrewhasarrived1904 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm actually, going to hang more mirrors in a few weeks and i am going to make a custom channel out of timber. I hate the look of those j channels. I do agree with you if you do not intend on keeping the mirrors there i wouldn't glue them but at the time i was never taking them down. Much prefer the look of them being glued on sitting on the skirting boards.

    • @DJayAce4
      @DJayAce4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@andrewhasarrived1904 Yeah I do agree you can probably achieve a cleaner look with gluing. I guess I'm coming from someone who rents all the time, which is the current situation I'm in right now haha. Recently I put up 3 large mirrors side by side inside a workout room I'm building for my place. I used the J channels, which I think turned out nice. Only thing that I couldn't achieve is getting the connecting sides to sit 100% flush with one another because of how the wall isn't perfectly flat. Which you could probably achieve a flatter look by gluing. Gluing definitely has its perks. You are right, I stand corrected! It just comes down to long vs short term.

    How to glue a mirror onto another mirror (old apartment medicine cabinet)? I haven't found any video about it. The new mirror is more attractive, beveled edge, 3/4 inch bigger all around than the old door mirror. I know that mirrors are glued to solid walls all the time, even on a non-movable mirror, but not on an old medicine cabinet.

    u should use mirror mastic. also u should make donuts with the mirror mastic so when u push it against the wall the center of the donut creates a slight suction cup to help keep the mirror oh while the mastic cures.
