What causes play and or gear tooth skipping in craftsman, ayp first gen, steering box
มุมมอง 485 ปีที่แล้ว
The plastic bushing piece at the bottom of the steering shaft wears out the hole in the top of it allowing way too much movement in the steering shaft causing harder steering, excessive play, and sometimes gear teeth skipping which can easily damage the more expensive parts od the steering gear, its an inexpensive part like 6 to 9 dollars or so, why they couldnt have made it from metal is beyon...

Changing gearbox attatchments/cultivator gearbox on stihl trimmers

Detailed video on how to properly change gearbox attatchments on your stihl trimmer
Nice to hear the actual blower and not crappy dub step music dubbed over it like other people do. Great video!
Just got one in on trade, this little saw kicks ass!
The beautiful song of us landscape people in the morning
Hi what is that plate under the saw and what is its purpose ?
Its an aluminum skid plate that protects the tank bottom from damage
Who built your Muffler for that bad boy?
Neither of both of the chains that you present here are the 3 variants! Pm3 or ps3 are safety chains! You present the pm and the ps chains!
But I totally agree with you that the full chisel picco chain makes a lot of difference in cutting on a small saw! 💪 I also carry Both and use them according to the situation! Full chisel in clean wool and semi chisel for dirty work
Picco "pee-khoe"
Serious woodcutter with your 'lil sow', pako ! Greetings from europe !
I was looking at the piltz kits they sell on ebay and that's what they use. Theyve got videos on TH-cam of an ms250 pulling a 28" cannon micro bar through 54" doug fir. I imagine a loop that long would have to be custom made, but it's a novel idea. I wonder if you could put it on an ms310 with a .325 sprocket and cannon micro bar?
Nice strong torquey saw!
I just snagged one up for $20.00 Engine brake 16' bar and chain. Saws in great shape, it has 120 psi compression and had it running, and then quit, So I will do a carb cleaning, and seems to be no oil flowing to the chain.
Model no2..2021
Excellent information Sir. Just messing around with longer bar on a ported 024 and 026. Didn't know anything about pico in general but you explained it well. Thank you!
That sounds amazing!
I've a 371xp that has been ported, great saw! I've also the 372 x-torq and it is a real decent saw. My favorite all around is my 346xp - rev monster!
Super machina . Bardzo dobra . Husgvarna 372 ..beautiful. Pozdrawiam z POLAND . 👍👍👍👍👍🇵🇱🌳
Small world. I have a pair of them also with nearly identical mods. Wide clutch covers and big spikes on both. Same tank guards and same ported mufflers. I added Hyway pop up pistons. Funneled the lowers and opened them up some. Reworked the cylinder intake for the de stratification. Advanced ignition timing a bit with the new oem blue coils. Give a shout out to the man that came up with the gutted intake idea. I agree with about everything you said in regard to the 372's. Both versions are great saws. My OE's make power on the top end where the X Torque's are better suited to run 13,000 max no load and make good low and mid range power/Torque. Mine pull and oil a 32" fine for shorter jobs or if I don't want to wrestle a bigger saw. I watched your other video of saw #2 at work. It sounds and cuts great. Curious if that saw is fully run in? Five stars for your video. You did a good job explaining things.
Its fun that the exhaust on the american model comes out under the plastic cover and the european it comes out the side, it May have something to do with emissions or maybe I am wrong, some of your Guys May know more about it.
Hey great video you really know your saws!!! Did you make that skid plate yourself or buy it? I just bought a 2021 372xt and before running it bought a 372xp OE cylinder, wiseco 50mm piston and hd-12 carb. Am now sending Both the xp and xt cylinders off for porting and decking. Will then find a blown up 372xt to mount the new 372xt top end on. Kinda want both 372 versions. I think gutting the intake divider on the xt is a very smart plan which has been shown by many guys especially EHP to have great results. Please make a video of you running your modded 372xt. Thanks
No i got the skid plate from ebay they make them for lots of saws, somewhere around 25 bucks plus tax and shipping if i remember rite.
I agree with u 100% the 372xp is a iconic saw,
????
?¿??
Could you show a video on the muffler mod.pls.
The (372) is still my favorite go to saw.. Great video, hope to see more 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Start the sumbitch up! 🪓🪵❤🌲🌳🪵🪵🪓❤🌲🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻
I have another video of my other one cutting
Helló! 372 xp💪👌👍👍
Well, grams is metric actually. Like the rest of the world uses. Not just Europe. Also, America includes North, South and Central America…. I think you mean United States.
Shut up nerd this is America
Great video mate.... looks interesting to attempt general land clearing of weeds. 👍
Hi. I saw on a video someone loosened the gear box and rotated it 180 degrees on the yard boss. To allow the power broom to spin the opposite direction. Can I rotate the gear box 180 degrees on the power broom Kombi attachment. Or will this damage the drive shaft?
I have a Yard Boss which is similar and allows for rotating the gear box as you mentioned. You may have already checked the Kombi Power Broom accessory manual (available on the Stihl site), but for example, on p.4 of the KB-KM manual it shows the proper way to install the gearbox for different accessories. Since some accessories are installed with the gearbox in one direction, and others in the opposite direction, I think it would not damage the drive shaft. I think the power broom would just not work as effectively if it is spinning in a sweep-under direction instead of a sweep-forward direction. Hope this helps!
Great video, thanks for posting. How did you go about purchasing the cultivator attachment? My dealer would only sell me the Kombi system attachment. I am looking to purchase an FS91R and would like to purchase several gearbox attachments and not deal with the Kombi system.
Its just a gearbox attatchment, i think its called cultivator BF
I ran into the same issue and got the run around with Stihl corporate. My local dealer confirmed they discontinued the gearbox attachment. But you can just buy the Kombi one and remove the cultivator to install on your trimmer just like in the video. I’m doing that this afternoon actually.
@@john5383 I ended up doing this as well, purchased the kombi and detached the gearbox piece. I can confirm it worked okay for me. I'm wondering if I might be able to resell the shaft for someone looking for a replacement.
Good vid keep it up.
Pick tines dig good... I got the bolo tines.... that thing isn't very friendly on your back.... im thinking about getting a yard boss
I guess the PM3 comes on the MS 180 from the factory? Great video! God bless you sir
I love the sound that this blower makes
Personally‚ the BR700 is my prefered blower of all
Does it work on fs 240?
Yes
Just got one from a guy at work for 13 bucks
Nice feature is the body separation that reduces vibration against your body. Huge feature.
Do you have a video of you showing how the tiller works?
Very well done and informative video. Thank you. One thing though, Pico is pronounced "peek-o" not "pike-o". Otherwise, good video. Thanks again.
My pop had a Super2 cutting as a Riverside County arborist years ago. Still has it. Great saw!! Not a ton of power compared to the old McCulloch’s and European saws. BUT always started. Cant tell you how many times i saw dad 60’ up and pulling once to fire it. Hard to find small engine repair guys to touch them now.
Great vid bro I have the 91R I’m gonna purchase the hedge trimmer👍
Thank you for the demonstration.
I also needed that info. Thanks friend. You keep on keepin on ya hear??
Thanks for the video, just what i was looking for, the difference between them both and some info, think i will try the ps3 out.
we had a few homelites growing up , the first being a super2, with 2 triggers , I picked one up off craigslist a couple of years ago for $50 when my "new" Homelite died after 2-3 uses. These are killer saws . I'm trying to find out the approximate age of the one I have now, it's all metal, and Has the two triggers, any ideas ?
Bein a metal housing it may be a little older. Ive heard you can use the ut number or maybe serial number to tell around what time it was built. The house of homelite website is a good place to find info on serial numbers and dating the saw
@@magnumtipton7293 thanks, I was on the Homelite website yesterday, and I could only remember 7E of the serial#, and I was too pooped from actually using the super2 yesterday to go get all the numbers, I'll do some more research today
