It made absolutely no sense and was such a disservice to the character and viewers. Had there been a better reason given for them breaking up I'd accept it but what was in the special did not fit with the original series at all. Thank you SO much for compiling these, all three of them! I am certain we three are not the only ones who’ve relived their story (and ours through theirs) multiple times over a long period of time and find so much coming back to us of them and of ourselves when watching these. With so much going on in the series this chemistry was the rarest of all to come by, it makes no sense it was left at that. I have yet to see the special (can’t find a way to view it until our national broadcaster eventually offers it) but cannot believe this connection can be matched nor does it sound likely the storyline will be believable especially after reading your review. Bawling my eyes out, yet thankful for what was! 😭 (Was this wasted merely due to unavailability of Barry Aatsma? I cannot think of any other reason that makes sense)

@@Purkkification oh you're very welcome and thank you for your comment. So glad to find there are others out there who watched the show the same way I did. Loved how their story was written and they had wonderful chemistry that can't even be compared to the new man in the special. Nothing will ever convince me that Christie didn't come back to London and fit right into Hannah's life. I may have another video in the works, watch this space 😉

Brilliant series, have binged it more times than I can count. Such a shame Christie isn't in the special
