Well I've seen a fully assembled American 5299 on a 50 ton lowboy that the airbags would not lift,so we drug it. It didn't fold in half. We unloaded the rig and the driver went right on with rest of his day like nothing happened. Talbert

@quickET1968 unfortunately no, the 455 especially runs on really tight clearance but I'm think about a chain up design. It seems like there isn't enough time in the day for all my projects 🙃 thank you for the question!
I love Landoll but not as much as I love Fontaine.

@duffross4252 we suggest an ag trailer. It's a detachable lowboy trailer with slide out outriggers to get wide but strong! Thank you for the question

When you keep your equipment greased, you don't have to replace that stuff. Slack adjusters and s cams that's ridiculous. Grease Is cheap.

How much and what is the a actual weight for both stinger & trailer
@brucearnold6259 $115k for trailer, $31.5k for one piece stinger. Stinger weight is 4,750 and trailer Est Base Weight 24,260 lbs. +/- 3%
Before you load something that is heavy make sure your using the correct equipment for the job.

Why do trailers still use wood on the deck? Even in 2024 no one can make a metal deck. Does it have to do with the trailers needing to flex?
@Handles_are_good_for_holding some don't use it. It is good for grip. When an excavator had metal tracks against metal trailer it can be very slippery. It's also strong and light. So, I guess the combination works well together. Steel or aluminum and a little apitong hardwood. Thank you for the comment 😊
@@HeavyHaulHQ wow I didn’t think something so heavy could still slide on metal. Even if it’s that diamond plated metal or metal like they use to make car trailer loading ramps they still can’t get grip. I would think by now that they would have come out with some kind of rubber mats that would lay flat on top of the trailer and the machines tracks would grip to that putting pressure on the rubber mat to make it even more gripper to the trailer deck. Has anyone ever tried flex tape? That stuff seem really grippy. Maybe need 2 or 3 rolls. lol. Do you make goose neck 2 car open trailers for a 2500 or 3500 pick ‘em up truck? Or just the big boy heavy haul toys?
Its cost effective and light. No sense is trying to reinvent the wheel when what is readily available is cheap, lightweight, and durable. The only real downside is they rot, and you need to replace boards periodically.
I like how they say my company bought one they would have never done it if they owned it.wow I thought the stretch model was stouter,who knew.

I get removing the frame mounted strap winches, but i hope he gets a few "stake pocket" holes in there for the Stake Pocket Winches (unless hes gonna use chain terminated straps) cus mannn there are days where u just need a strap!
