How SPY KIDS inspired BLUE BEETLE

Blue Beetle premiered to average reviews and a below average box office opening. It might’ve knocked ‘Barbie’ off its #1 spot, but it’s gotta make a lot more money to break even. Despite being released after superflop ‘The Flash’, the movie itself is a fun, fast-paced ride that’s got heart, bug ships, and blaster-wielding abuelas. #bluebeetle #dcstudios #xolomariduena #comicbookmovie BLUE BEETL...

Breaking Down This Year’s Oscar Nominations
Man, this doesn't sound like a good movie. I loved Alien and Aliens, but none of the others.
Thanks for the review and coverage of this film, I loved the movie and cant wait to see where it drives the IP
😱😱😱
Gosh, this is bad. You're talking about her costumes and these wigs are part of it. I don't see the point of this video. You're wasting your time. She's only an actress, doing what the script and the director requires her to do. The hair style is not up to her either.
I don’t think the old man spirit was fighting with other spirits to keep Riley. I thought it was quite clear that the spirits in that limbo scene are just predators, possibly loosely working together - esp because if you slow that limbo scene down, you can see the spirits abusing other people, not just Riley. It’s just a completely chaotic pit of suffering. This is also supported by the drowned spirit grouping that old man in with all the other spirits - ‘they’ll split ya!’. Why would she do that if they were a couple? Idk, I think you have to ignore a lot of evidence that’s actually in the film to reframe those spirits as a couple.
Also I do agree that the other hand could be the one shown at the end of the film. Or even just a completely unrelated hand altogether.
I think you’re right and agree that when you don’t know that there is a part 2, it builds curiosity and anticipation but yes only if the first movie is a big hit. Interesting perspective. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I thought the second spider verse movie felt pointless because no problem was solved. I loved the first spiderverse, though.
Films, no; books, yes!

He’s back!! Such a great job babe!! Not gonna see It Ends With Us!! The book is amazing, I read it last year!
like + sub earned! great stuff
The spirit that possessed Mia wasn't "cheryl" who was crawling around. The spirit who possessed Mia was the drowned woman she saw when she first held the hand and said, "i let you in" to. She went over the 90 seconds, and this spirit stayed with Mia, imitating her mum and manipulating her throughout.
Love your commentary will be back for more! Your theory was interesting, love the connection between “he likes you” and the possession made later. I just have to add I love that they did not stereotype the Black characters. They were fully developed beings.
So creative!! Love it!
I was very happy to see The Zone of Interest win for sound
Love your opinions and commentary! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
You don't need 23 minutes to explain the plot of Madame Web. I can explain it in 1 sentence. Here goes: Madame Web and 3 teenage girls run away from Ezekiel, until he dies from being crushed by a Pepsi sign, and the movie ends with Spiderwomen being waved in front of our face like keys as a teaser for a spinoff/sequel that will never get made. The End.
Great job! Thanks for saving us from seeing this one!
I really like your voice, it's so soothing...
Hold on now the way more known for the Ronald McDonald videos that they did 0:58
are you gei?
I HAVE THE ORIGINAL MOVIE
😎🙏💯
I agree with all your points... but there is something that has been stuck on my mind ever since my 3rd rewatch, if the hand has people who played with it.. who in their right mind let that little girl play? The one that let's Mia in.... unless that was just another form of manipulation..
Almost certainly! They can take any form that’s how the drowned lady tricked Mia pretending to be her mama
8:45 nobody celebrates a mothers death you could gave said attended the funeral.
Very interesting takes! Great video! I love your attitude, especially how you reacted after saying Bob looks at Shirley 😂
Fully agree with you on the performance from Joe Bird. The standout show from any of them. Such a switch. I honestly wondered if he was 'tweaked' by CGI, or sound, or something, to give that performance...
The thing I really liked about the film and its horror is that it both were consistent with rules that were established, and if you view the film's plot against the framework of the rules of the game they explained, then everything makes sense. Both Riley and Mia exceeded the 90 second time limit, so both already had the ghosts attached to them. They also were not sure whether or not they blew out Riley's candle when he was acting out while possessed, which can explain why the ghosts that latched on to him had stronger influence. But the resolution to their problem was given by Duckett's brother when he told them that the body will reject the ghosts eventually given time... Which also explains why the ghosts were bent on having Mia kill Riley so much, because that rejection was already happening, as hinted at when Jade told Mia Riley woke up briefly as himself. They wanted to Riley dead ASAP because as stated in the rules "if you die while they are in you, they'll have you forever".... Well guess who died at the end and is now stuck as a spirit on the other end of the handshake game? They didn't get Riley but they got Mia. And her fate makes sense within the logic and rules established by the movie. Which is fucking great because I feel like not enough horror movies bother being consistent with rules they establish.
I agree well said! I’m also curious to know if the other ppl who are contacted through the “game” played the game and that’s how they died?!
i think its also fair to notice that both of them were supposed to die at the end, but mia let herself be taken instead of her and riley. so she did technically save him at the end. she would have no reason to let him live if she was full possessed. i think the talk sue gave to mia actually mattered in the end, she was open and honest to her immediately instead of her dad who wasnt. which is left mia in such a vulnerable state. her forgiveness and telling mia that shes family was got through to her
I hope in the sequel the other kids get fucked with more. I hated the main 2 ala the too cool for school lesbian and the college age creep hanging with high-school kids. Legit wished for something bad to hapoen to them the whole movie. Solid tho was thoroughly impressed the whole time
The theory about Mia holding the other hand at the end, is mind blowing. Never thought of that. If there would be the case of a sequel, they SHOULD explore the other one, also. Also, when Daniel is possessed, my theory is that he looks actually at JADE, telling her, that he does not like it when she touches him.
I mean you can clearly see it that innboth shots the hand is a lefty so..
that’s not really a theory, it’s very clear he’s looking at jade
This was such a good movie
Great job! As always, well researched and expressed!!
Love this
This movie was so great. I watched it twice in one sitting.
Great analysis! I loved your explanation and sense of humor too
The ending was pretty depressing too. The girl getting her soul dragged to hell was no bueno.
Sad that it didn’t live up to the hype and success of the original franchise. Thanks for saving me the watch. Great job babe!!
It’s the same hand. Mia hand is now the table hqnd. It’s the left hand for the possessed hand and in the end she is using the hand
your theories are so fucking good. I can't wait until 2 comes out so i can hear what you have to say
This is Beautiful.
U did great with the research you put into this video gang
When Mia walks out of the room after Riley is possessed you can see the candle is still lit on the table ❤️🔥🕯️
I actually thought the dad died from the injuries and the elevator being a bright white light symbolized him taking the elevator up to heaven while she was in her own empty afterlife filled with darkness. That was just my interpretation though.
Same!!!!
Yep. The elevator was pointing up ⬆️ when he entered it insinuating he succumbed to his injuries and went to heaven while Mia is stuck in limbo.
The dad survived his injuries, jade found him after Mia stabbed him and he leaves the hospital like normal like jade, Riley and Sue but I like that imagery if he did indeed die that would be a great way to show it 💯
Oh I thought he lived but was close to death and that's why he didn't hear her and why she couldn't get to him.
This seems a bit too on the nose. Why would an elevator be the gateway to heaven? It’s very cliche.
I want to see sequel! It Wil be very intresting...
love your reviews
