Husqvarna 450 Rancher & Holzfforma 888 (Blue Monster) VS Large Maple Stump
Mom in Laws tree stump leveling. Started out with the Husqvarna 450 rancher because it is a lot easier to handle. This allowed me to get the proper line around the outside using a laser. It also allowed me to get some depth on the cut so when I picked up the big saw there would be more of a ledge to help hold it up. Next, we broke out the Holzfforma 888. What a beast, it is rigged with a 36 inch bar and is 122 cc of wood chopping machine!

Thanks for the video. Some folks recommend walking 10 feet away then standing next to a second tree and then looking back. Once you like the degrees, then you will put another flag up at a second (eye level) tree and continue on. Hiking Trails should be 2-8% grade. 10% tops.
That works also! The reason we try to as far as possible is, it gives you a longer line on grade. Then you can do the final alignment and know your average grade is on. Just remember if you have a maximum grade, make your average grade 3% less than your maximum !

Nice video. NMTA have always used a clinometer with two people, one as a reference point and the other to look thru the clinometer to take a reading. I never thought about using flagging tape as the fixed reference point! That would allow one person to measure grades and lay out the trail without any help. Great idea!

That's the type of relaxed riding I like at my age. Where would you say is your favorite location for this type of riding?
Lots of places come to mind…. Where are you located? Dead Horse Point State Park in Moab( we have 2 recent videos from there , check them out ) Dino Flow at The Klondike Trail system in Moab. Lots of trails here in Arkansas like this without the big mountains though. We are working on one. Ow in central Arkansas that sound like it would be your jam! That's awesome! Glad it helped you guys! Great question, we use a Rode Go Wireless 2 for this. Its has 2 wireless mic and receiver that connects to the GOPRO. We really like it and it tends to make POV video a tad less boring !
