Price brother's arbour
มุมมอง 884 ปีที่แล้ว
During Covid lockdown, my daugher and I rebuilt a garden arbour. We used only reclaimed materials. The arbour is to celebrate the work of David Barclay Price and his brothers Bill and Robin who built the original in the 1950's, Dumbarton Scotland. Pachelbel's Serenade is the backing track.

I'm sitting here wearing my Canna Creations woolie hat, which raised much resentment among the sheep there, and with my Oban scotch. Wondering what the f am I doing. It's Queensland and it's 30°C.

Thank you for that, somewhat different to the other sailing blogs. Have you considered dressing the wee red-bearded lad in one of those bathing suits that the ladies on the sailing blogs wear? LOL
put him in a harris tweed suit indeed hee hee.
Thanks for sharing your trip, great to have the traditional music backing some great images
Thanks Gus, appreciate that.
Really cool to learn I've climbed the Nev more times than Ueli 😁 My new claim to fame lol

what is the song this is a dream??
Wicked video guys! Well done!
@lennoxmcgoo Well, in ice climbing "the leader must not fall" still applies. It seems to me that ice must be one of the most dangerous forms of climbing, after soloing. Perhaps soloing is even less dangerous, because there is no belayer to hurt with falling ice.
Great. The last time I was at Sourlies was about fifteen years ago. Always an adventure, the walk in from Glenfinnan, a wee stop at Glen Dessary bothy. The walk out to the Old Forge at Inverie for some scran and much beer! Fantastic to see the place again. Thanks for posting this up
Looks good, how dangerous is that (ice climbing)?
Great video and well done to The Cap'n-all those years of doing something in the Rigging have finally paid off. All that remains to be said is: " Arrrrrrrrrr Cap'n!"
seems like so much fun !
Nice looking young boy...I`d pay him a fiver :)
Great video. Are you sure that it's IV though, looks more like VIII to me ;-)
Great video. Great instructors as well. Highly recommended!!
Hi Jamie, Another nice video - good promo for the Ice Factor. Tracey and I are coming up at the beginning of Feb for a week - stopping over at Onich so we'll be hitting the ice there more than once I think. Say "Hi" to Tracey for us. Rich & Tracey
Looks like a great day had by all. How did you get Cecil B DeMille out of retirement though?? Seriously though, good to see you guys out having fun-am very jealous it must be said!! Nice One! Didn't even see Pile's knees tremble once- was that Cecil's editing?
Im very jealous Mr Smith, hope you left some ice for me !!
I really do evny you guys living up there. One day - perhaps when I retire......Excellent filming too - who was the camera operator? See you next month. Rich
Looks like good conditions, i hope i can get out climbing this winter.
Excellent place. Been a member since the first year it opened and have to visit every time I head north of the border. Tracey loves our visits as we always spend a fortune in the shop. Rich
Good music Jamie :)
Climbing indoors seems silly. Being outdoors in the elements are part of the experience. Besides, outdoors it's free.
