How To Make A Hooded Surf Changing Towel
Hi everyone I hope you enjoy this easy sewing tutorial on how to sew a changing towel for your surfs.
Please excuse my sniffing in this video, spring time allergies aren't being kind. And sorry about the farm noises and the occasional dog or cat making a fuss.

    I would have liked to see the finished item modelled in some way. Any chance you can add a pic somewhere?

    Does 3m fabric mean 3 square metres? Great video!

      Three metres in length. So when you buy it ask the cutter for three metres of your chosen fabric.

    Great tutorial. Had real trouble finding info that wasn't for kids versions. Thanks, Sarah

    Thank you for this tutorial. I have now made 2 by following your directions. Easy to follow even for a noob sewer like me! I also love your accent and your cute personality!

      Hi where do you get the fabric?

    • @queenofhearts57

      @@lissliss3925 not sure if you are asking me where I got the fabric? I’m in Canada and know you can buy terry cloth from any Fabricland store but I myself bought 3 cheap beach towels from dollarama . Perfect to sew with cause not too thick but perfect for a beach wrap.

      @@queenofhearts57 Yes I was asking you - Thank you I appreciate you responding. I live in Australia we have Spotlight which could be similar to Fabricland. I'm super unwell at the moment so I can't actually go in and look. Hahahaha something to look forward to when I feel better.

      @@lissliss3925 sorry to hear you’re not feeling well. I originally was going to try some cheaper bath towels from Walmart but they actually weren’t as cheap as I wanted ...but maybe you could do the same? Don’t know if you have Walmart? Just a thought.

    Great video. How long would you estimate it takes to make a surf poncho from start to finish, once you've done a couple & have the hang of it? Thank you!

    Hya..do you use microfibre towelling fabric?Sori I have no idea what the proper term/description is used for the fabric here🤔

    • @mitchellp.3894
      @mitchellp.3894 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      If it helps - "microfiber" is a glitzy name for synthetic fabric, typically made from polyester. This is what many cheap brands use, and it's also trendy among outdoor brands who source it from recycled bottles & then market it as "eco-friendly" (a questionable claim, since it's still a non-biodegradable, petroleum-based product). Whatever your thoughts, 100% cotton is a much better material for towels - cotton soaks up water and dries you quickly, while microfiber is non-absorbent. This is why your bathroom towels etc. are made from cotton. The only advantage on microfiber is that it will dry quicker.

    Have you seen the Undress? You can find it on TH-cam if you search "Undress dress." It'd be great if you came up with a tutorial for that!
